The article is well worth a read. The part where his friend talks about Urban Meyer is very interesting. Herbie spews the company line too much for my liking, but as a coach, you gotta think the guy could recruit. The article did a good job of humanizing him

I liked this profile a lot.  Some of his behavior kind of makes sense now.  Glad he admits that he doesn't take personal criticism well.  He would probably make a pretty good coach and great recruiter.

I used to defend him quite a bit, then everything with the back and forth with Pryor and some of his other comments/actions last season rubbed me the wrong way.  After reading this though, some of the stuff makes a lot more sense.   I'm a pretty even keeled guy myself but I have a feeling if I read stuff about myself on line or people on Twitter were giving me hell I'd probably shoot back with something snarky and immature myself.  I'm kind of the same way, I don't want people to think i'm a jerk or call me an idiot just becuase they don't agree with me or I wear an orange tie that day lol.

I also can understand his packing up and moving from Columbus.  I'm a serial worrier as well, and if I saw the same car driving slowly past my house 5 times in one day, or if people were constantly knocking on my door, and the local paper published my address with a Google Street View of my house, I'd probably 1 grow tired of it, and 2) be concerned for my wife and kids when I wasn't around.  There was a lot more to the story than we got when he moved.  Basically, 1 or 2 sentences of what he had to say were released, not all the other info.  I never knew the Dispatch put his address in the paper with a picture of the house.

LOL NC, we just disagree, but at the end of the day we both want what we think is best for the team! You, Irricoir, Fido, don't always agree with what I have to say, but if we ran into eachother at an 11W tailgate, We'd probably solve all the team's problems in the parking lot with the aid of a few beers lol.

Business and training keep me busy fellas. I read every day but have A) been so busy at the job that I have had no time to gather my thoughts, due in part to having to remove 200-300 printed Team Logos of whomever beat us last week off of my chair, desk, doors and walls and B) I care so much about our team that I have been sick at my soul due to their performance. I'd likely say some things out of anger and frustration toward undeserving bloggers and I just want to avoid all of that. It is not just a game to me, OSU is a representation of home. It's a place where ethics, honesty and excellence through dedication and hard work was being demonstrated by students, coaches and leaders. This all has changed, at least from the stand point of the most visible representitives of my school and state. Now, living in the south, I not only have to deal with 0 and whatever again, I must deal with the fact we're appearing even more corrupt than the sec in the wake of these scandals by our top 3 teams in the big10. It never stops around here and the breaking point is fast approaching. I shall remain loyal to a T but my pride is taking a beating.
