So I've seen two bowls being thrown around. The Meineke Car Care Bowl (Houston) against TAMU. Or the Gator Bowl (Jacksonville) against Florida. Both would essentially be home games for our opponents. College Station to Houston is 95 miles. Gainesville to Jacksonville is 72 miles.
So my questions are these.
Will Buckeye Nation travel for a 6-6 team? If not they'll most likely be 6-7 given the opponents fanbases and the obvious home field advantage.
And who is going to coach this team? Because I think Fickell and staff are emptying their offices as I type this.
Assuming they go to the Gator Bowl...Don't forget that tOSU hasn't played in the state of Florida since 2002 and there is a large contingent of Buckeye fans down here in ACC/SEC country (FL, GA, etc). We will be outnumbered by Gator fans, but I think there will be a good Buckeye contingent even if the Ohio area fan base continent is small.
