OK. So, I realize that I just wrote a post defending Fickell, but that doesn't mean I can't keep an eye out for other coaching prospects.
What about Peterson from Boise State. Imagine what he could do with Ohio State-level talent. And it looks like the folks in Boise have had enough of his undefeated seasons, BCS Bowl appearances, and general dominance.

This would definitely be a top 5 choice, IMO. He's proven he can not only play with, but usually beat the bluebloods. One reason I would put Meyer ahead of everyone else is his recruiting ties to Florida. Put a fence around Ohio and a few hand picked guys from FL and we continue to dominate this conference.
Fan of bacon since 1981
I could get behind Peterson, but I am firmly entrenched on showering Urban Meyer with gold until he agrees to take the reigns.
If nothing else: Marionaire.
Petersen looks like a good choice but I'm not sure he would take the job. Word is he is a west coast guy and if he leaves Boise it will be to go west. Cal or Stanford seem most likely.
Peterson's teams dine on cupcakes. So, his periodic victories over major conference opponents in the regular season and in bowls, do not suspend disbelief.
He's a long-distance hire, like Cooper. I want somebody who understands Ohio State-Michigan.
agreed, woody. you must relish the opportunity to play the game every November and while I like Peterson, i'm not so sure he would represent well...
