Losing once to them in the last 7 years doesn't constitute them as our rival. Sure I hate those bastards but they're not close to how much I hate M*ch*g*n and Penn State. Illinois knocked us off in 2007 as number 1 and Wisconsin knocked us off out in 2010. If this was the criteria than Illinois was our biggest rival from 2007-2009. Our rivals are who we run into the most with recruiting and have historically good programs.

Hate Bielema, plus this is a new divisional rivalry game. Fuck Wisconsin!
I'm not arguing they would be anywhere close to a rival (well behind Michigan and Penn State in my mind), but Wisconsin has played us well. Certainly better than the vast majority of the B1G. As the article states, we've split since 99. Well now we're up 1 (WHAT UP)...
In particular, Bielema was a thorn in our side if I remember correctly.
And don't forget the Sully-getting-spit-on incident last year.
We should strive to keep thy name, of fair repute and spotless fame...

Wisconsin is not our rival. Wisconsin is the B1G team that has played us the toughest over the last dozen or so years. The only thing notable about the OSU/UW series is that they've been able to beat us a few times in recent years. They think it's great because to them, beating us is a huge deal. Because they're not on our level. Never have been, never will be.
