Miami(OH) leading Florida 3-0 after the end of the 1st. I'm not counting on it but it will make my day to see a upset. Miami also got a questionable offsides call that negated their stop against Florida on 4th and 1.
I guess we can put to rest all of those comments by Herbstreit et al regarding John Brantley possibly being an improvement over Tebow. Sorry, but he's no Tebow. Not even close.
I can just see it now. Florida fans will point that throw in argument for Brantley's greatness. It was a prayer. Wouldn't be surprised if his eyes were closed.
If Bobby Bowden got canned at FSU, it's time for Joe Paterno to get asked to step down. The zombie jokes were funny when they were jokes. Somebody check that man's pulse.
I disagree. I think that as long as PSU has a reasonably successful program and that JoePa seems to be doing SOMETHING at work, even if it's just inspiring players while assistants do most of the work, then he should be allowed to stay until he wants to leave.
Jesus is Michigan coming to life? I had said earlier how I thought hinged things on Denard Robinson. Someone lay the wood on him so they have to put in Tate QB FORCEEEEE Forcier
the uconn QB must be absolutely terrible if they are afraid of just chucking it over the heads of the michigan safeties because that is open to them on virtually every play
DickRod doing what DickRod does best, pwning crap Big East teams. I love how cocky Michigan fans will get after this game, only to have their hearts broken once they play a team that has been in I-A more than a decade.
Notre Dame still looks like ND...squandering scoring chances like they always do. I love how ND fans are going to think 500 yards of offense that leads to 20 points make them national title contenders.
Sorry guys, but the Michigan offense looks dangerous. UConn was supposed to beat Michigan pretty easily, but that is not happening. I had a feeling Robinson would look strong, and he does.
How about Oregon scoring 42 points in the first 22 minutes? Oh yeah, forgot the Buckeyes did something very similar against NMSU last year. Oregon's offense looks unreal against teams that don't play defense.
it really shouldnt be much of a surprise, denard is a legit athlete and they've got some decent WRs. their defense though could potentially be awful, next week will be the real test to see how good they are when they take on ND
I don't know Notre Dame looks like they want to run this year. 19 carries for 107 yards in the first half. UM's defensive strength (relative to the rest of their unit) is the defensive line.
Well they didn't want to give him time to get up to speed in somebody else's offense. I hope the 49ers pick him up, he may be able to get meaningful time with a team that could make the playoffs.
Michigan's Offense looked improved, as it should have. On some other message boards with some ppl claiming they are back to 'retake the B10'. UCONN was terrible on D, and poor on offense. Agreed with above, the secondary should have been ripped apart.
Having 9 freshies on the 2 deep as reported for defense is pretty much guaranteed losses coming. Whether their opponent today couldn't utilize what was given to them, the holes on the defense were gaping.
I know we've got our own special teams issues, but what the hell is up with Michigan's kicker? Not gonna win many close ones if you can't kick extra points.

And as much as it pains me to say this, I think deep down we all want Michigan to at least win the games that they're supposed to. But honestly, I was more disappointed in UConn's inability to consistently move on offense (the gaps were there all friggin' day) and adjust on defense, although they seemed to slow UM down some in the 2nd half.

I read an "article" on Bleacher Report written by a UF fan. According to him, Miami is quite the football team. He was reminded by a few fellow fans that Miami was 1-11 last year in the MAC. At least some of them know a bad team when they see one.
Oh my, Mark May adding to his douchery. Watching my recorded CFB live from friday because I wanted to see what they said about Ohio State. I'm going to quote the segment.
(Subject is impressive starts to the season.)
Rece Davis: Some other teams that were really impressive in their start, Ohio State was certainly that against Marshall. Lou,
Lou Houltz: Well, I just think Terrelle Pryor is going to have a tremendous year. They expected to win big, they did. It should have been 45-0 except they had a punt blocked for a touchdown.
Mark May: It was Marshall (In a brash tone), coach. The 90th ranked pass defense from last year. He should have had a good game. But, when you turn it around to somebody who had a great game. How about this, how about Jacory Harris lighting it up.
He was serious, too. Dead serious. I wish I could say I'm joking when I say that.
this is a pretty perfect microcosm of what may and sweet lou bring to the table every saturday, and a great example of why change the channel as soon as the come on.
lou: *incorrect gibberish*
may: *haterade for literally no reason*
lou: *slurred attempt at a rebuttal*
may: *dismissive eyeroll*

i also read that may said something about pryor not having to make difficult throws and therefore hasn't shown anything yet, which blows my mind. i hate even talking about these guys, because that's exactly what they want us to do; get pissed and then tune in to see what they'll say next
Mark May is such an ass. He can't give a compliment to OSU unless its a backhanded one. So Pryor/Ohio State is somewhat unimpressive cause he had a good game against Marshall but Da U is supposedly back cause they slaughtered an FCS school? Makes complete sense to me Mark.
All I know is if Ohio State would've looked they way Florida did yesterday, the whole crew on ESPN would be ranting about how over rated Ohio State is. If Miami didn't have the bonehead plays they did, like the 2nd fake punt, and the QB making ridiculously stupid passes to Florida players, that game is VERY close, maybe even Miami pulls out the W.
May is an idiot. Pryor could throw for 300 and 5 TDS, then run for 3 more next week and he'll find a way to rip the Buckeyes. At least Holtz has something good to say with regards to the Bucks, but yeah college football scoreboard is basically worthless to watch. Go to ESPN 2 where McShay and Robert Smith are breaking it down.
I'm guessing we won't be hearing from our UC friends this season after that showing last night. Was surprised to see how close Oklahoma's game was. Michigan surprised me today, but UConn did a lot of shooting itself in the foot.
Guess we can delete the one I created.
Penn State looks like shit.
On both sides of the ball, too. Unexpected, but welcome.
omg im loving this florida game
Miami(OH) leading Florida 3-0 after the end of the 1st. I'm not counting on it but it will make my day to see a upset. Miami also got a questionable offsides call that negated their stop against Florida on 4th and 1.
FLA looks just terrible so far....nevermind
miami is still kickin their ass in my book
They still don't look that great with the exception of Janoris Jenkins.
so much for mich st. being good. stanzi hurt?
that should of been a first what the hell was the receiver looking at
Yeah Florida looks BAD....their running game blows....Miami's QB just putting them out of the game
UF had 21 points on 15 total yards of offense
13 total yards at the half geez
RedHawk DEF is looking pretty damn good... If only their offense would put forth a similar effort, this might be a hell of a ballgame.
If #17 had made an attempt to use both hands the score would be 21-10 instead od 21-6.
14 total yards florida sucks.
Excellent picture...I effing love college football
I'm so gigglepants because of this picture.
Taquitos.
Illinois appears to be running the same offense as last season
Illini #8 with a nice catch
I can't believe how slow Evan Royster is...no wonder he did so bad against us last year.
Florida's offense is looking pretty terrible...if Miami's offense had any sort of talent they would be winning
And I've never seen a Center as bad as Florida's
Wow does Florida ever miss Tebow right now.
I think that's a safety. The entire ball has to be out of the endzone right?
How good does it feel to have had our opener NOT be the sluggish ones of the past and all these other teams look terrible.
:)
This Florida game is very, very fun to watch to me.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
@JakeBuckeye
Agree 100% on watching Florida =]
I guess we can put to rest all of those comments by Herbstreit et al regarding John Brantley possibly being an improvement over Tebow. Sorry, but he's no Tebow. Not even close.
He's not looking BAD to me. But no, he's not that good.
We really can't jusge him off this game and have it be the end of it. I still expect him to be pretty good.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
What makes it about a gajillion times better is the fact that its an Ohio team.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
i hate the miami university almost as much as i hate michigan, but watching this game is utterly hilarious
florida has 26 total yards.
twenty
six
I just keep laughing out loud at the Florida game. Giggles. Uncontrollable at times.
Spielman: "The Gators are getting their rear-ends kicked." Love it!
Dumb personal foul. So dumb.
Great call to kick that field goal.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Could've been within 1 TD...not anymore
There was no way in hell they were going get a touchdown on fourth and goal on the 15 yard line.
Great call, the coach could have completely killed Miami's momentum but he didn't by kicking that field goal.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
that just ruined it
Damn. It was fun while it lasted.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Uh-oh. 15 looks a hell of a lot better than 16.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
SHUT UP GRIESE GOD I HATE YOU
GO Illinois
I am in awe of how completely terrible Florida looks. Utterly horrid.
Someone please make Bob Griese stop.
There is no stopping Bob Greise he will try to say whatever he wants...then fail miserably while trying.
OT Does anyone still like M Knight Shamaylon movies anymore?
Hell yeah.
The Last Airbender = Classic.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Miami might not win this one...but this is entertaining as hell.
why are florida fans doing seven nation army?
i mean, we stole it from penn state, but i thought this was a northern thing
I don't care if Florida scores 21pts in 3min, they should fall in the polls. Nothing else is acceptable.
yeah...the final score won't be indicative of Florida's offensive terribleness
illini....juss turrible
Urban Meyer is an ass hole.
Oh God.
I can just see it now. Florida fans will point that throw in argument for Brantley's greatness. It was a prayer. Wouldn't be surprised if his eyes were closed.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day

Time to root our asses off for Purdue.

44-14 looked alright to me. Go back to bc Poe
huh?
Crunch time for Illinois. They need to get it done pronto.
Michigan's offense looked pretty nasty on that first drive.
Or, was it UCONN's defense that was just terrible? But, still looked better than I anticipated....
Denard Robinson is a pretty talented RB.
Jesus is Michigan coming to life? I had said earlier how I thought hinged things on Denard Robinson. Someone lay the wood on him so they have to put in Tate QB FORCEEEEE Forcier
tsun seems to have improved -- I missed their first two scores, what happened?
Uconn imploding spectacularly.

I agree with you on Michigan, if your defensive line doesn't own the line of scrimmage um will score on you.

Wasn't he supposed to win the Heisman and end hunger world-wide?

No. That was Tim Tebone.

I'm liking all this SEC speed on Jacksonville State
That was insane.
Coming soon: FCS teams demanding an automatic BCS bid.
After Robinson took a hit, Devin Gardner came in as relief, meaning Tate was effectively Michigan's third-string quarterback.
And then he sulked on the bench: http://twitter.com/ESPN_BigTen/status/23010955324
So, yeah, expect a transfer soon.
