COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State football coaching staff has selected its weekly award winners for outstanding play in Saturday’s 36-24 victory over No. 12 Miami.

Quarterback Terrelle Pryor, who rushed for 113 yards and a score and passed for 233 yards and a touchdown, is the offensive player of the week. Devin Barclay, who tied the Ohio State record with five field goals, is the player of the week on the special units.
Justin Boren was named as the Jim Parker lineman of the week. Dexter Larimore received the Attack Force award on defense. The Jack Tatum big hit of the week was not awarded.
Players of the week on the scout teams: James Louis (offense); Donnie Evege (defense); Chris Maxwell (special units).
No Tatum handed out unfortunately.

I'm a little bit surprised that there was no Tatum award....Barnett and Moeller both had hits in the end zone that negated touchdown catches (and they were both in my endzone so I saw them close up).
Barnett is a HITTER, that kid is always looking to take a head off!
They might as well stop claiming that as an award as much as they don't give it out. I wondered why they never do. Trying not to encourage it so much?

Yeah, makes me wish we still had Andy Katzenmoyer! His hit on Corby Jones is still my all time favorite!

Just received word that the Tatum award was indeed handed out for the Miami game, going to none other than C.J. Barnett.
Consolation prize? "Sorry your season's over, here's an award!"

I wondered if that might happen. Barnett certainly deserved the award, injury aside.
Any chance Barnett gets a medical redshirt?
Yeah, he definitely qualifies for a RS and will get one.
He most certainly qualifies for medical redshirt.

Still sucks losing him. Redshirt or not.
