The Big Ten had a big Saturday on the 2018 recruiting front. Four schools received verbals from six players. Maryland (2), Penn State (2), Minnesota (1) and Rutgers (1) added to their '18 classes.
Maryland
The Terps had an 8★ day when 7th ranked DT Austin Fontaine (.961) and OG Evan Gregory (.902) committed. DJ Durkin's '18 class is currently 8th in the Big Ten and 28th in the nation.
Penn State
Friday, 3★ OT Chris Bleich (.874) decommitted from Penn State. Saturday, James Franklin added two offensive tackles to his '18 class.
Nana Asiedu (.958) and Antwan Reed (.888) pledged allegiance to the Nittany Lions within hours of each other. Penn State now has 13 commits and remains 1st in the Big Ten.
Minnesota
PJ Fleck picked up 3★ WR Erik Gibson (.822) of Detroit. With 12 commits, the Gophers are now 4th in the Big Ten and 10th in the nation.
Rutgers
Chris Ash doubled the size of his 2018 class when 3★ CB Jarrett Paul (.818) of Paramus Catholic (NJ) committed last night.

It won't happen this cylce, but Ohio State will claim the top spot before National Signing Day. The only question is what month will it happen?
