As always, thanks to Wesley Colley for keeping these up to date each week.

Here are the rankings:

"BCS" rankings, week 12
Rank School BCS Average CFP Rank Record
1 Alaba_a 1.00000 1 11-0
2 Ohio State 0.95168 2 10-1
3 Cle_son 0.89829 4 10-1
4 TTUN 0.89326 3 10-1
5 Washington 0.81783 5 10-1
6 Wisconsin 0.80500 6 9-2
7 Oklaho_a 0.71933 8 9-2
8 Penn State 0.68641 7 9-2
9 Colorado 0.65724 9 9-2
10 Louisville 0.53426 11 9-2

These rankings are fairly consistent with those fro_ the CFP.  Cle_son and TTUN are switched, but still with a razor thin difference, so that is understandable.  If the season ended today, I actually like these better so we get a shot at Cle_son instead of playing TTUN again.  Oklaho_a and Penn State are also flip-flopped, with the CFP and the co_puters favoring Penn State, but poll voters favoring OU, but again, their averages are pretty close.  Then we have Louisville at 10, who is 11 in the CFP.

Observations:

1.  The CFP has Oklaho_a State at 10, but they are all the way at 15 in the BCS, behind USC, Nebraska, Florida, and Florida State.  The poll voters respect the_, but the co_puters do not, as they are not ranked by 2 of the co_puter polls which severely hurts their ranking.  However, the averages between Louisville at 10 and that Western School Up North at 16 are all within 11 points of each other, which is less than the gap between Colorado at 9 and Louisville at 10.

2.  Alaba_a, again, is the clear cut favorite as it is a perfect 1.00000 for the second week in a row.  Ohio State, likewise, is the consensus #2 between all polls and co_puters.  We have significant drop off fro_ #2 to #3, and again fro_ #4 to #5.  Even with the chaos that has ensued recently, the BCS rankings gives us a solid case for keeping the field at 4.

3.  USC is #11, which is even higher than the CFP had the_ at 12.  The fact we can have a 3 loss tea_ on the cusp of the top 10 is sad and we should feel sad.  That is offset by That Western School Up North at 16, as opposed to 21 by the CFP, which is arguable a slap in the face to an undefeated tea_ after 12 weeks of play.  Houston, who is ahead by 1 spot at 20 in the CFP, is a whopping 19 points behind the_ in the BCS.
