Interesting article on Fox Sports with the proposed pitch LSU should make to lure Mark Dantonio away from Mich. St. and down to LSU.
Is Dantonio's recent NC-level success tied to the TSUN downturn (before Harbaugh arrived), or is he a legitimately good coach that could/would flourish in Baton Rouge?
I'm not sold on Dantonio being great, not do I think he's worth 8 mil. per year. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be nearly as good at recruiting the south as he is poaching 3 and 4 star players from the Great Lakes region. Would the LSU fan base and recruits in-state in La. take well to his personality? I'm guessing he doesn't have the panache required to be the face of LSU football.
It's certainly a different take, but one that is a little too far out into left field to be taken seriously IMHO.
