In 2013, Sparty starts the season off with underwhelming wins against W. Michigan and S. Florida which saw both teams close late in the fourth. Week four they lose to Notre Dame and week seven at home, they led Purdue 7-0 in the last few minutes of the game and stopped them in the red zone for the win. They fell out of the top 10 during that period and most everyone's radar before beating UM and #2 OSU in the Big championship.

  In 2015, Sparty once again starts with underwhelming wins against W. Michigan and Air Force. Once again Purdue takes them to the end but MSU prevails 24-21. Then a close 7 point win against Rutgers before losing at Nebraska. They dropped to 13th and were looking up at #2 OSU before beating us at home and winning the BIG.

  They have the unique ability to fly under the radar and dwell in the underdog role. After another struggle to start the season, they sit behind us and UM and will probably have a few more close games and may even have a loss before the UM game. They are 5-1 in the last 3 years against the two teams they sit behind, quietly waiting for them to come to E. Lansing.
