It's being reported by multiple media outlets that Alabama officials are meeting with former Washington and, most notably, USC HC Steve Sarkisian about a yet-to-be-determined position on the Bama football coaching staff. Clay Travis of Fox Sports is reporting that he'll be announced as a Special Offensive Asst as soon as Tuesday.
For those who may not know, Sarkisian was an Offensive Asst Coach for many years at USC, prior to being hired as the HC at Washington, where he spent a few years before leaving for the USC HC job. He was fired from that position early in the season last year for reportedly showing up for work drunk on multiple occasions.
On one hand, I feel like he shouldn't be allowed to work with young people and what he did was pretty messed up. He made decisions that threw away his dream job, one of the most prestigious in CFB. USC didn't want to fire him, he left them with no choice. On the other hand, should that necessarily disqualify him from ever working as a coach again? Not so sure about that. Any thoughts?
