So for the second consecutive year, Oregon takes advantage of CFB free agency (let's call it what it is) and gets a one-and-done QB to transfer in rather than develop the position themselves. Marcus Mariota was a Chip Kelly commit, so Mark Helfrich gets no credit for him. But I'm wondering how Oregon pulled two QB's in this recruiting class. If I'm another school going after these kids, I tell them, "Look, Helfrich lucked out with Mariota, and even then, it was Scott Frost's offense. Do you want to compete for a chance to play, or do you want to ride the pine behind the next great free-agent transfer?"
