With the new College Football Playoff in it's second year, I have always thought that conference scheduling is not created equal. One of my biggest gripes is the SEC's chicken shit Saturday near the end of the year.
So it begs the question, why can't all non conference games for all power five conferences be played at the beginning of the season prior to the start of conference play? While it may not deter from scheduling terrible opponents, at least all conferences would have to play the meat of their schedule as the season wears on. Seems like a no brainer to me, what am I missing?
