The articles are definitely worth a read and makes you wonder if the NFL Coaches are really the stubborn ones that we tend to paint them to be.

IMO If the NFL wants guaranteed QBs to be ready for the systems their teams run, they should create and fund their own minor league. Then fill it with coaches whose philosophies align with the NFL mindset. Until then, they can have zero complaints. They can't have their cake and eat it too.

TBH, college coaches do not have any obligation to do anything other than what they think will help them win. Some might not like that, but it's the truth. Also, there are colleges that run NFL style offenses with QB coaches that teach all of those things. So an NFL team picks a QB from a spread system, starts him day 1 in their offense that he hasn't ever played in, then complain that he wasn't ready for it. Well, you have three options. Don't start him right away and teach him, change your system, or don't draft spread QBs.
