I was reading Peter King's MMQB today and saw this tidbit on Connor Cook:
" Interesting point raised by ESPN’s Chris Spielman on Michigan-Michigan State: Every NFL scout is going to have the same question for Spartans quarterback Connor Cook, a good NFL prospect: Why were you not elected a Michigan State captain this season, your third as starting quarterback? Three other Spartans got voted captain ahead of him."
I found this surprising. I assumed Cook was a captain and perhaps had been one for multiple seasons. Of course we're not privy to the ins and outs of the captain votes, but I think it raises a good point and calls into question Cook's leadership ability.
Thoughts?
