With six wins now qualifying for the post season and especially now that voters are focusing on winning teams, why not include the post season? I usually don't like breaking tradition but letting the country see the candidates on a bigger stage seems a plus. It's not like every player has a chance at the trophy now with interior lineman and a few others outside RB and QB ever winning it. Zeke might have bumped one of the three to the ceremony.

  • True or False
  1. Jay Berwanger was the first player to be presented the Heisman trophy.
  2. Paul Hornung was the only player to receive the award on a losing team.
  3. ND and Ohio State are tied with the most players to receive the Heisman.
  4. There has been only one exclusive defensive player to win the award.
  5. Les Horvath was the only player to win who did not play football the year before.
  6. Archie Griffin was the first and only OSU player to win it as a jr.
  7. The trophy itself weighs more than 22lbs.
  8. Orlando Pace was closest offensive lineman to win the Heisman.
  9. Archie Griffin was the youngest and oldest player to receive The Heisman for OSU.
  10. Chris Weinke and Jameis Winston are the overall oldest and youngest at the time of winning.
  11. The Heisman was modeled after a player.
