This afternoon Tim Beckman and Illinois gained a commitment from Westerville North DT Antonio Shelton. The Illini received a total of five verbals this week. The B1G earned 41 commitments since Saturday (6-20). The B1G Recruiting Rankings will be updated tomorrow. The Power Five Conference Rankings will be released Sunday.

Antonio Shelton has a .788 comp. rating and is the 123rd ranked DT.

The Fighting Illini have received their fifth verbal commitment in the last week. On Friday morning, three-star defensive tackle Antonio Shelton (Westerville, OH) jumped at his first Big Ten offer and pledged his commitment to the orange and blue. According to both 247Sports and Rivals, Shelton's only other offer was from Toledo, but he was garnering some interest from Purdue, Indiana, and West Virginia.
