I was going through my bracket and stumbled upon something that looks very coincidental.  Look at the 3rd Round matchups in the Midwest region.  

#1 Kentucky vs #8 Cincinnati

#2 Kansas vs #7 Wichita State 

#3 Notre Dame vs #6 Butler

#4 Maryland vs #5 West Virginia

Each matchup is either against an in-state rival, or against an opponent/rival that is very close to being in-state.  I'm not sure if the Midwest region was made with that in mind or not, but I think it's a good idea.  Forcing teams to play teams that are either rivals or should be rivals would make the tournament even more interesting.  Any thoughts?
