With ASU losing last night, UCLA now controls its own destiny in the Pac 12 South. If they beat USC and Stanford - both at home - they will face Oregon in the Pac 12 Championship Game. Arizona seems to have Oregon's number, but otherwise UCLA is the only team in the Pac 12 South that can match Oregon's overall talent level.

UCLA lost to Oregon in October 30-42, but it was an even game at the line-of-scrimmage: UCLA actually outgained Oregon 553 to to 468, and out-first downed them 31 to 26, but were hurt by -2 turnovers. I'm guessing that UCLA would be about -5 point underdogs to Oregon in a neutral site rematch.

UCLA became more dangerous when Hundley/UCLA realized that he'll have to run the ball for his team to be effective. Some insiders suggested that Hundley came back for his senior season to concentrate on his pocket passing - and those efforts finally seem to be coming to fruition - but Hundley also started running more again and throwing on rollouts, etc. UCLA was inconsistent offensively until just recently, when they exploded for 44 points against a good Washington defense in Seattle. Hundley beat the Huskies primarily with his arm, but the "dual threat" factor is back in their arsenal.

I am predicting that UCLA wins the Pac 12, which would help Ohio State's playoff chances if the Buckeyes can take care of business on their end.
