The Philadelphia Inquirer interviewed Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett after his defeat for re-election this week. Previously, he was the state's attorney general. When he was attorney general, his office started the investigation that would lead to the conviction of Jerry Sandusky. 

Governor Corbett was a rare bird this election year: a Republican who lost a bid for re-election. The reason many are speculating for his defeat: the Sandusky scandal and Paterno firing. According to this article, exit polls showed that 40 percent of Pennsylvania voters said that Corbett's handling of the investigation a very or somewhat important issue.
