In a somewhat surprising move, Louisville native and 2014 PG Quentin Snider decommits from the Cardinals, and will re-open his recruitment. The reason why I say "somewhat" is because of Louisville's depth at PG in the next few years. Would've had a tough time finding playing time potentially. On the other hand, he - again - is from the city and committed to Rick Pitino before his sophomore year.
Reason why Buckeye fans need to keep an eye on it is because, for one, D'Angelo Russell keeps re-tweeting people (I'd post them here, but his account is protected) who tell him that they would make a great backcourt combo and how Snider should come to OSU. Russell also grew up in Louisville and the two played AAU ball together in the past.
Couple of things to keep in mind, as well:
FYI as of 10 minutes ago, Snider had not talked with any other schools. He did call Rick Pitino himself and has also talked to Kevin Keatts.— Jody Demling (@jdemling) July 31, 2013
FYI all the questions about Snider…after a few calls…I don't think Louisville will recruit Snider going forward.— Jody Demling (@jdemling) July 31, 2013
