What if this team who has been greatly criticized during much of the duration of this season wins a National Championship? We have endured many seasons under Matta where the Buckeye hype for an NCAA crown has been out of the roof only to fall short in the Big Dance. Remember its not always about the best team it is about the team that gets hot at the right time. Call me crazy but I actually think this is the year Matta finally wins that elusive title.

While I like your optimism, and I do believe this team is capable of beating any team on any given day, I think the lack of scoring, depth and a true 'BIG' will hurt them in a run of games. That, and I personally believe B1G teams run into whistle-happy refs in the tourney. They get so used to playing physical all year then get into a game with lots of ticky-tack calls. Buckeyes are a team that can not afford foul trouble.

Amir can be that big once every 10 games. If he can get his head on straight GE could be very good. I couldn't agree more about Big 10 physical play. That's what killed us in 2010 in my opinion.

Anything can happen any given day and it's about getting hot at the right time, and having everybody step up their game. I'm a Uconn bball fan and our 2011 National title proves this theory. We had an up and down season, finished 9-9 in conference and were seeded 9th in the Big East tourney. Nobody gave us a shot to do anything let alone make the big dance. Welp, we went on to win 5 games in 5 days at MSG, and then won the big prize in April. OSU has a chance to take it all just like anyone else at this point, last nights win proved they can play and beat anyone in the country. And since Uconn can't play in the tourney this year, I'm pulling for the bucks all the way!

Craft plays like he did last night and vs. Michigan State and the Buckeyes D remains consistent it's entirely reasonable to think the Buckeyes can make it to the Elite 8. Anything is possible at that point.

This is the year for anybody even Gonzaga to win it, very weak field this year in terms of no really unstoppable looking teams

Funny? I'd say a totally awesome surprise.

I feel obligated to take the Buckeyes a long way in my brackets every year. On paper, I can see OSU beating just about anyone if they show up. It's always hard for me to swallow them getting knocked out but that's usually about the time I stop caring about my bracket and just routing for the little guys, non-Duke, non-Mich, non-SEC teams.
