Been hearing a lot of national media hate towards A. Craft and I can't figure out what there is to dislike about the kid? Is it because he is an A+ student and would someday like to be a Doctor? Is it because he stays out of trouble and has dedicated the last three years to school and basketball? I love this kid and would hope to have a whole team full of kids that play with his intensity. He probably won't make the NBA and he is likely the 2nd or 3rd best point guard in the B1G but I'd bet that if you asked every point guard in the nation who they least like to go against his name comes first. Personally I'd make an argument that he is defensive player of the year nationally and next year when he will have to become a go to scorer he will make a run at player of the year. Great kid and if the NBA and it's spoiled rich player run league had a quarter of his intensity and defense first mentality it would actually be watchable. Don't change a thing Aaron Craft!

When it comes to what's not to love about Aaron Craft, there's only one thing I can think of:
he has only 1 year of eligibility remaining after this season.
Sometimes we like to hate what we know we can never be? Maybe this is the theory behind so much negativity towards him.
You always hate someone who makes you point guard look bad.
I was pretty p*ssed off at the ESPN the Mag article, which implied the majority of college fans hate him because of skin color. (They are white, he is white, and they think they all could've been better then him if they tried).
I am not white, and I LOVE Craft; this article, and thoughts behind it, just disgusted me.

No matter how sh*tty the tour is, it's always tough to leave.
His 41% FG percentage, but it's not that big of a deal.
For me, it's more of the 30% from long range. But, like you, that's just nitpicking...
Could you imagine if Craft was a legit high percentage 3 point shooter? That is his area of weakness and with that shooting motion I don't see him improving all that much. Haven't seen a player with this type of defensive intensity in a long time. He is fun to watch and I hope the best for him.
