PHONE'S RINGING -- IT'S URBAN ON THE LINE
sooooooo, nik stauskas is having an ok game.
i work with five Florida fans, and when they win they are awful to be around. So right now I am rooting for Florida to lose. To whatever team they happen to be playing. Please don't tell me who that is, because that will make my head explode.
I have Florida winning it all. so, it looks like that was not the best decision in retrospect.
duke vs. Louisville, or mike krzyzewski vs. the polar opposite of mike krzyzewski. anybody who takes a priest with him to cover his infidelities is probably a foreskin.
That injury to Ware for Louisville is the worst beasketball injury I've ever seen. His leg...man...prayers for him.
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
I didn't see it, but I heard it was worse than Lattimore's. Hope he's alright. How did it happen?
When I walked in this morning and saw the flag was at half mast I thought, "Alright, another bureaucrat ate it." but then I saw it was Li'l Sebastian. Half mast is too high. Show some damn respect.
He went airborne to the three point line, to contest a 3. Landed horribly akward on his leg. A gross dislocation...very hard to even watch.
Just saw it on Reddit... I've heard of open dislocations, like what happened to Joba Chamberlain, where they dislocate something and the bone breaks the skin. But I never imagined that I'd see a complete open break. That wasn't a dislocation. That was a snap. I can't believe that they're still playing. I'd probably be throwing up and shaking if I was on either team.
Yeah...it was horrible. You're right - it was beyond dislocated. The reaction of the players tells you all you need to know.
his injury reminded me of Sid Vicious' horrific career ending injury.( if you haven't seen it, i advise you not to look, and if you do I have given you a warning it is just as bad) my thoughts are out to kevin ware he's going to need a lot of positive thoughts going his way. hopefully he can come back at some point. godspeed kevin ware.
It looked exactly like that. Horrible compound fracture of the whole bone. I am hopeful it was a clean break but with those types of injuries, it could be possible the whole bone was fractured all around there. Not sure what kind of pressure it was that caused that because he didn't land all that awkward. It was a bit awkward but most players at the most twist their ankles from that. The whole bone just went.
I would never wish anything like that on anyone. and for it to happen right in front of the bench, at eye level for them too. Damn that is evil!
I saw a UFO once.......it told me to have a goodyear!
won't need to x-ray that one.
I have never rooted against Duke more than now! Louisville needs to win this game. They have to win it for Ware. that was the most disturbing thing I have seen in a long time in sports. that disturbs me more than what happened to Lattimore.
I think OSU-Louisville would have been a really great game. I was looking forward to the entertaining, relentless defense. Craft & Scott vs. Smith & Siva. Great ball pressure and quickness. Too bad...that would've been fun to watch.
Squirrel Master you seem to follow or know about the Cards living in Louisville, do know if that was one of their starters who got injured?
Insert witty remark
He's not a starter but he's a very important player off their bench and has been playing really well in the tourney.
sorry I am late. It is Kevin Ware, he is the backup PG to Siva. Kid can run like Russ Smith and play PG like Siva. Very talented. Such a shame, hopefully he can come back.
Louisville might not be terribly effected on the court but the emotions may have them go one way or another. I suspect they are going to play for him and win it all. Not much can stop this team this year.
I think because of Louisville, I wasn't as upset about last night as I could have been because I always felt Louisville was going to win it all and that OSU wasn't going to get past them. Knowing that, it helped me cope a bit, not completely though.
Thanks for the reply back. I can only hope that he makes a full recovery because his basketball career may be over with and I hate to see someone go out like that. Very rarely have I heard of someone playing with plates and pins in their long bones. I don't think PG play will be as much of a problem moving forward since they aren't facing teams that press and require good ball handling skills but having a back up is always good. I think they'll win it all then dedicate it to Ware.
Let them play, refs. Too many touch fouls called on both teams.
Louisville women's basketball team is taking it to Britney Griner and the #1 rated Baylor Bears. They are beating them badly.
this is a great game. Louisville is playing hard and trying to hold on while Britney is playing to win.
I never watch women's hoops, but I gotta admit - that was a great game!
I was disappointed in the Baylor coach's post-game press conference. It was Tom Crean times ten in terms of being a jerk. She didn't really give any credit to her opponent, but just complained about the refs. Griner didn't credit her opponent either, just sulked like it was all about her. Meanwhile, Griner punched a Louisville player in the face and got away with it...wow!
That Baylor Coach - Kim Mulkey - needs to show a little more class, being a head coach.
Anyways, pretty entertaining game.
