If we beat Da U, will we have to hear about some phantom no call for the next 15 years??

I can see it now.

Double overtime. Miami leads by 1 with 4 seconds to play. Craft dribbles down the court and drives for a layup. Craft is knocked to the floor and the ball drops to the ground. Miami rushes the court and begins to celebrate. Meanwhile, due to a whistle malfunction the ref picks his whistle up off the floor and blows it late. He calls a foul on Miami and gives Craft two free throws. Craft gets a lucky roll on the first shot but it goes in. Craft throws the second shot up. The ball hits the backboard circles the rim and after coming to a near standstill drops through the hoop.

Actually, I have UF & OSU in the NC game...to me, that would be the ultimate revenge game.

My bracket has M*ch*g*n and Florida losing to each other in the Elite Eight, which, by some little known rule, propels Akron, by default, to the Final Four.  In what will go down as one of the best moments in the history of sports (second only to when Vladimir Putin defeated Dick Cheney in a game of Chinese Checkers in just one move) Akron's Blake Justice -- a rarely used Freshman Guard from Peebles, Ohio -- hits a called-bank shot from beyond the arc in the sixth overtime defeating Montana (or maybe LIU-B, whatever that is) 157 - 156 and sending the Zips to the Championship.  Elated, head coach Keith Dambrot blows out his Achilles tendon during the celebration when the entire team (and both of Akron's fans) storm the court like Ewoks tripping on bath salts.  

With no other choice, Akron turns to the one man that can save it in its darkest time.  That man wears a sweater vest.  

But the NCAA tourney is a cruel mistress.   Awaiting Jim Tressel -- may peace be upon him -- in the Final is none other than The Ohio State University, fresh off its victory over Kansas, whom they curb-stomped 478 - 1.  In that game alone, Aaron Craft had 78 steals -- once even stealing the ball from himself -- and 95 assists -- again, with one assist to himself.  Deshaun Thomas had 324 points (shooting 12% from the field) and Thad Matta contributed with 20 points off the bench.

Hey, its my bracket. Anything can happen.

It'd be pretty cool to see.....and with tOSU still winning with defense 10 years later.

Could probably do without double OT this go around though.

Yep - I have them meeting in the Championship game, too. Didn't do it on purpose, just sort of ended up that way.

Can you imagine the outcry if, say, OSU pulls off a last second, 1 point victory that on no-call foul or goal tend? GLORIOUS!
