Even after Gonzaga was moved up to #1, I read multiple articles from experts about how Indiana is still the best team in the country.
Going into the best teams home court (a team never down by double digits all season) on senior night in front of a crazy, packed house and beating them by 9, has to give The Ohio State University the biggest win of the regular season. The analysts all say that what they look at most is tough road wins and it doesn't get any bigger/tougher than what the Bucks did last night. Miami (at home) thumping Duke was nice but taking out the top team on their own court with so much on the line is the new best win of the season. Congrats to Thad and the Basketball Buckeyes!

Plus, we have 3 wins against Top 5 opponents this year. Can any other team say that?
I believe there is one other team with more wins against the top 5 than us.
Duke has the same number of wins against the top 5 as us
Actually, Duke has four wins (see list, below) against Top 5 teams.
Looking back at the records of the RPI Top 25, I find only three squads with multiple wins against Top 5 teams:
In the RPI Top 25 there are a dozen teams with wins over Top 5 squads, from my quick tally.
I'm sure that number (the dozen) higher this year than compared to other years due to the constant flux of teams circulating in and out of the top 5. I'm confident there have been more teams ranked in the top 5 this year than most of the other years.
ESPN agrees with you (scroll down to 'Best Win')

Factor in "Teddy and the Refs" at Assembly Call, and that was a 15 point road win over the best team in the country.
not to mention all of the missed lay ups
Haha Teddy and the Refs.... I hope that is to the tune of a particular Elton John song.
The way the refs let the players practically tackle each other before calling a fouled got a bit ridiculous last night towards the end ... when it got down to a 6 point game I was worried the refs were giving Indiana every chance they could. But I guess that's expected when you are playing at Indiana. Either way great win!

Here's an article that lists last night's win as the 4th biggest win for Ohio State under Matta. The 2005 win against undefeated #1 Illinois is first, which makes sense if you think about that win really getting our momentum going with what was at the time our new coach.
no TCU over Kansas?
That game is considered the biggest upset of the year in college basketball.
Penn State disagrees
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
PSU over UM was a big upset, no doubt.
In fact, those upsets are pretty comparable, TCU's win over Kansas is TCU's only conference win just like PSU's win over UM is PSU's only conference win of the season. Kansas was ranked #5 at the time they lost to TCU, while UM was ranked #4 when they lost to PSU. TCU's overall record is 10-20, while PSU's is 9-19. But in terms of RPI, the TCU win over Kansas was the bigger upset as TCU's RPI is lower than PSU's. TCU's RPI is and has been in the 230's while PSU's is currently at 185.
To be fair, Wisconsin has that same win. But yes, it is probably the biggest possible win. If only they closed it out at Cameron, OSU would have the TWO biggest possible wins.
Class of 2010.
OSU really had a great shot at Duke and at mich, that would've made their resume hard to beat.

IU's lowest scoring output of the season
Largest deficit of the season
Definitely see eye-opening stats from Tuesdays game.
God damn that's a pretty f*cking good milkshake! I don't know if it's worth five dollars, but it's pretty f*cking good.
