The Ole Miss guard is perhaps the biggest villain of the NCAA tournament, do you love him or hate him?
A good rundown of his...actions on and off the court: http://www.businessinsider.com/who-is-marshall-henderson-2013-3#he-aggressively-taunts-opposing-players-and-fans-1
Personally, I think he prvides the swagger that college basketball needs. But that's just me. What do you guys think?

I love the passion he shows for the game but he does cross the line once in a while
I am indifferent on him but I love him going up against Wisconsin. I want to see him hit a three right in Bo Ryan's face. I wouldn't be surprised if he got at least one technical in that game.
You just changed my opinion on him..... Love his energy, wish he'd dial it down a bit, but now I want him amp'd up if they play Wisky... Nothing would make me smile larger than to see him drain a three and get into a shouting match with Bo...
Don't really care about him. He plays at Ole Miss, which makes him irrelevant. Also, he taunted Auburn's student section during a basketball game. That would be like LeBron taunting Tajikistan's national basketball team, they suck, and you had just beat them, is that really anything to celebrate and taunt them about?
Excellent. Out-fricken-standing William.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I'm just waiting for this thread to spiral into the "what if he were black?" debate. That will be fun.
By the way, hate the kid. Trash-talking and taunting opponents and fans of opponents? Not cool man.
'...what if he were black?";
He'd be Gary Payton!!
Vernon Maxwell...
He's an idiot but I can't hate him. He's having fun playing basketball.
At the least, he's very entertaining. However, I feel like it's just a matter of time until someone punches him in the face.
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
And I won't blame the guy that does it. He's writing checks. Eventually they're going to bounce.
I'm sure I'd hate him if he was in the B1G, but he's not, so I don't. Plus, you have to admit he's backed up most of his chatter. He's the highest-scoring player from a major conference team in the entire NCAA tournament.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
I think he's entertaining and harmless. His Gator Chomp against Florida was hilarious.
Punched a player while at Utah. Not exactly harmless. Pretty much a punk.
Nothing like dancing on the field in 02...
I can't stand him. The dude is a nutcase. It's one thing to play the game with passion and enthusiasm and it's a totally different thing to be an asshole and that's what he is. He got arrested for buying drugs with fake money. He did a jail stint because he tested positive for cocaine on probation.
He isn't good for the game at all. He's not good for any team that he is on either. I wouldn't want any part of him on my team. This is his 4th school since 2010 for goodness sake. It's funny that he makes the fart signal when he hits 3 pointers, and taunting Florida fans is always cool, but this is a guy who isn't just eccentric and emotional. He's a jerk and my guess is in 5 years he'll be in a penitentiary somewhere.
Maybe that sounds a bit harsh, but let's face it, no good team would want him. He scores a lot, but his team really isn't that good. Look at what they did this year. They lost a regular season game to Mississippi State who may have been the worst team in college basketball this year. They had to win this weekend to get into the tournament, and I'll give them credit for doing it, but it was the SEC, which was terrible this year. He was the only thing to talk about in a horrible conference.
the dude shoots 38% he's a chucker.
I love him for several reasons:
1) He's absolutely hysterical.
2) He plays on a pretty mediocre team (in the SEC), so he's nothing to actually worry about.
3) He trolls SO HARD and he's actually really good at it.
4) His cockiness is so fun to watch. It's what I sarcastically do when playing pickup vs my best friends, even though I suck. He's actually a good scorer and isn't afraid to be a douche on a national level.
5) He's not a Buckeye, so I don't have to worry about repercussions from his stupid actions.
Don't give up... Don't ever give up.
Still one of the best gifs ever...

the black guy still entertains the shit out of me. But this guy definitely needs a swift uppercut.
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
The guy in the orange pullover has it right, if you read his lips.
i cant read lips :(
You're a jack*ss
Still love the expression on the face of the security guard/event staff guy standing wearing the white shirt on the right. He's standing there in the middle of all of that and just smiling. It's priceless.
I like the old guy in front who is all like.....
I'm at work so I can't do this, but I would love it if someone photoshoped old guy's face onto Gandalf
What if the old guy in the Oraneg pullover bitch slapped the shit out of him... that would be classic.
Wow, he looks like a tool among tools...
(BTW, is BusinessInsider.com the B/R of the biz world? What's with all those damn slide shows masquerading as articles...?)
I have kind of a funny Henderson story for you guys. I live near Nashville, which hosted the SEC tourney this past weekend. One of my best friends lives in Lexington, KY, where I lived for several years before moving to Tennessee. As you can imagine, my friend is a huge Kentucky fan. My friend and his wife, his parents, and his in-laws, all came down to Nashville for the tournament.
So anyway, my friend is at the games on Friday and they had pretty good seats and close to an aisle. Right next to their section was where they had a reserved area for teams who were not playing. I guess during the first half of the Kentucky-Vanderbilt game, the Ole Miss team walked in and sat down in that section. As the team is walking to their seats my friend said that they were all wearing their Ole Miss jumpsuits and some have headphones on and whatnot. But Henderson was wearing his jumpsuit pants and an Ole Miss t-shirt with the sleeves cut -off (perhaps what he wears under his uniform) and he has a set of beats headphones on and is strutting and bumping his head and body up and down to whatever he is listening to. As he's walking to his seat people are yelling at him all kinds of stuff, four letter words and the like from all angles and the dude is either completely ignoring them or he can't hear them because of his music.
Well a little but later my friend says during a TV timeout a little kid that's probably 7 or 8 and is wearing Ole Miss gear walks up to the team and asks them for autographs. The guys start signing the kid's program and passing it around and some of them take pics with the kid. Well Henderson is sitting there and is bopping his head up and down in his seat with his eyes closed and moving all over in his seat and the player sitting next to him goes to hand him the program to sign and since Henderson has his eyes closed and his music going, the dude has to tap him on the arm to get his attention. Henderson freaks out and starts waving his hands all over as if to say "Nah man, I ain't doing that %#@& right now. Can't interrupt my flow. I'm in the zone." So the kid gets his program and walked away looking disappointed since he got everyone on the team except Henderson to sign his program.
Yup. He's a douche. Any college player who can't bring themselves to sign autographs for little kids aren't worth the powder it'd take to blow 'em up, as my Grandma would say.
Thus the reason I have hated Bernie Williams since I was a kid.
"Don't put syrup on shit, and tell me it's pancakes"
No matter how sh*tty the tour is, it's always tough to leave.
Jerry Lucas was a great ball player but walked away from me in St. John when I was 13 years old and asked for an autograph. It's something I have remembered for 50 years. Guess even the good ones have bad days once in a while.
ernie
That sucks. What a buzzkill, huh?
Yep. If I would have ever pitched against him, no matter the spot, I would have drilled has ass. (My career ended in HS, partying was much more important).

Sorry to go a little off topic, but I actually have an unrelated story kinda like that. When I was 5 or 6 one of Bill Belichik's sons played on a football team my dad was coaching against. After the game my dad took me over to meet Bill and he asked Bill if he would shake my hand. Apparently he stared down my dad for 5-10 seconds, turned around and walked away. The moral of the story is that assholes will be assholes.
WOW that sucks. Cabot Rae was a huge douche as well.

I nothing him. Aaron Craft and Shannon Scott would take his lunch money.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I'm going to agree and nothing him right along with ya. A few things he's done this year have really cracked me up, but the kid has some issues.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
was in columbia missouri when mizzou folded like a lawn chair against ole miss.. i started clapping because the jukebox played songs for 25 cents a piece and i just put in three dollars... wearing all OSU gear doesn't help either.
I think he's not the brightest crayon in the box but if we don't play him i don't mind. and I wanna pick them in the upset over wisconsin because a) Wisconsin always stinks it up come march and b) you know henderson just lives for the hero shot just to bro out.
I like football
I HATE HIM BECAUSE HE'S WHITE!!!!!!
j/k
I hate him although the gator chomp was funny but besides that he's bad for the game you can show emotion without his antics.
I don't understand nor want to understand why some choose to talk trash or taunt. I've always thought it was kind of a sign of insecurity and pretty un-sportsman like? I play hoops a few times a week and we have a kid that talks non stop and he is not even that good. In a pick-up rec gym that is absolutely the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. Call me old fashioned but I'd prefer to let my play do the talking and I just don't think it has ever had a place in sports.
I don't care. I just can't get up the motivation to give a crap about Ole Miss or anyone on their team.

Love him if he's on your team, hate him if he isn't.
Matthew 7:1
I would hate it if he were a Buckeye, he ain't that good to want to tolerate his behavior...
Yeah, I'd rather watch OSU play. OSU's kids celebrate with each other, are respectable while on the court, and are coached by a well spoken man who also displays good sportsmanship.
I really like to watch basketball for the sport, not to watch some kid make an ass out of himself. I've never been a fan of anyone who gets their rocks off saying "Look at me, I'm better than you."
That said, I hope Ole Piss beats Wisconsin.
He's awesome r u kidding, like all great trash talkers he makes his team better and feeds off of it, this kid is my n fav player, in a pussified world of sports I love it, sports is war without weapons and killing if it helps u win and u can mentally unhinge the opposing fans and players more power to you....ya big babies.
Sub-Urban Commando
Typed this into Google Translate and used several different languages, I still couldn't read it.
i enjoy how much a shit he doesn't give
Yeah he's annoying. I think he might have some sort of mental problem too, and that's not me making a joke. But he's pretty good, and I have him taking Ole Miss to the Sweet 16.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Everyone that says they find his antics humorous, put yourself in 2 different situations:
1. If he were a B1G player, you all -- barring a few exceptions-- would be constantly bitching about this or that happening when he played OSU. I promise you that if he taunted the crowd at the Schott nobody would be calling him harmless.
2. Go back to a time, past or present, when you played a sport. Most every team had that one guy/girl that was just a cocky douchebag that didn't necessarily back anything with the skills to strut around. Henderson is this exact player. He's the most dynamic player on a mediocre team in a garbage conference. If you were the one guarding the guy that would rather be on a soap opera than play the game, you'd be pissed.
Valid points. But obvious ones.
The reason that it's so funny is because it's happening to someone else. It's like getting your pants pulled down at school. It's funny if it's not you.
I can't recall who said it, but comedy is the essence of someone else's pain...
I'm ok with his antics as long has he's not playing against OSU. If he had to play us in the Elite 8 and started doing his sh!t, I'd want to punch him in the face. That cheap shot that I've always wanted to see someone to do to Desmond when he did his little pose...I'd want that same cheap shot on Henderson. Most worthwhile technical ever. As long as he isn't playing OSU, though, it's all good. I'd love to see the @$$hole Bo Ryan get owned by this guy.
Class of 2010.
Young man would do well to sit in a closed room for 2 hours to watch footage of A. Craft and take notes on what true game intensity is all about.
~Naples Buckeye - "May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't." - General George S. Patton, Jr.
I'd say Marshall Henderson has plenty of true intensity, it seems to be build into his demeanor. Now class and intensity is a different concept.
Ole Miss had a good weekend, that was it. I watched the game that UK put it to them on their home floor this year. Henderson was a non factor. He jacks up shot after shot after shot, but rarely do a high percentage of them go down.
His team also lost to Middle Tennessee State, Indiana State, Mississippi State, and South Carolina. The last 2 teams are quite honest 2 of the most dreadful teams in America. So, sure he gets the spotlight when his team has a good weekend, but no one mentions the dreadful teams Ole Miss lost to this year.
I think if he played football or was on a better team in basketball people would have all kinds of negative things to say about him. Look at the comments that are often made here about Johnny Manziel and his off the field behavior. Conversations about him come from him being at a casino or hanging out at NBA games. He's never bought drugs with fake money, tweeted about all the rounds of beer pong he's won, or said he's trying to get that money. On the field, hell we all go through the roof when Denard does his cereal eating dance. Could you imagine if we had this fool running to our fans and acting like a clown?
I do not like him. I hope they meet Wisconsin and Brusewitz kicks him in the dick. I also do not like Brusewitz or Wisconsin, but my disdain for this jackass far exceeds my dislike of Brusewitz or Wisconsin.
Maybe Henderson and Brusewitz could simultaneously dick-kick each other
