Louisville Has Zero Chance

I thought that Louisville had a pretty good chance of winning it all UNTIL, I noticed that every single sports columnist at CNN/S.I. picked Louisville. Every single one of them...there were 10 or so that made picks. In a year like this one with no great team out there, I'm really surprise each one of them went with Louisville...it can't happen now.

On another note, all but 2 of them had tOSU going to the Final 4.

so if I'm reading your logic, that means odds are stacked against us because too many sports writers picked us to go to the final four?

Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.

UK was a clear and dominant team last year...look at all the teams including Mich that were number 1 this year, and for most of the season the consensus was Indiana was the best team.

My point was that these "experts", especially at SI.com are rarely correct unless it's pretty obvious to the vast majority who the beat team is... They're all picking the same team this year was most likely due to "hive mind" (a term I'm not a fan of but it applies here)...sitting around in there discussion I think they've convinced each other of something that isn't really clear at all. All but 1 also has Miami on the Final 4...picks are very similar...and yes I do feel better that 2 picked against Ohio St....as much as this is tongue in cheek, I do somehow feel that all those SI guys won't be right with Louisville. :)

OR, they are picking the team who made the Final Four last year and returned EVERYONE.  The same team who the last 10 games has been dominant and is the number 1 overall seed.  Perhaps there actually is one dominant team this season like last year.  Louisville lost some games sure, but their best defender was hurt in one of those losses, and their best 3 point threat has been recovering most of the season from shoulder surgery.  It's not surprise that as Hancock has improved, this team has become better and better.

If they play the way they have the last 10 games, no one will beat them.  They are that good.

No, there is absolutely no comparison with UK last year and Louisville this year. UK was ranked #1 all of last year except for 5 total weeks. Louisville was ranked #1 for only one week this year.

If you are just going off of current streak, (leaving out Gonzaga for obvious reasons) you can rank Louisville 1A and OSU 1B.

Didn't everyone pick UK last year? I think that worked out.

Pssh, that's exceedingly rare. They were in a different universe than even most #1 overall seeds.

Was easy to pick UK as they were the dominant team. We don't have that this year, hence why everyone picking UofL seems interesting to say the least. Anyone could win it this year, including OSU with their draw and hot play.

I agree Ohio State could win it, but they are basically Louisville light.  Louisville's D is better, they have a deep bench, and they have multiple scoring options.  They could beat Louisville, but it'll take an amazing game.  Those guards of Louisville aren't chumps, and the duo of Craft are going to meet their equals in that game.  Siva and Smith are no joke.

When I look at the field and what the teams have done, the pick to me is easily Louisville. I have that side of my bracket locked in.  UofL and Ohio State on every one of them.  The other side is the one that I think is a mess.  KU and IU are vulnerable in my opinion.  I don't see either making it to the final four.

You're basing your predictions on the predictions of others?  Most of the 'experts' on many of the sports sites are really not experts at all.  You, me, and your neighbor will be just as successful picking bracket winners.

Louisville can go far.  They have experienced players who play defense and they have good guards.  If they lose, it won't be due to some SI guy picking them to win it all.

Someone help me out here...what's the saying about sarcasm is wasted on the ... :)

Look guys, I don't really think Louisville has no chance, I have them winning in about 1/2 of the 5 pools I'm in but I was pointing out...oh, never mind
