Not sure if anyone has seen the new Applebee's commercial with Bob Knight and Digger Phelps. I saw it for the second time again last night and it's just too damn funny. The part when Digger gets up and throws a chair and Knight said "that's not how your throw a chair" is pure genius. The chain restaurant has been made fun of for quite some time and i was just not expecting this absolutely funny commercial from them.
Do you think they can make a comeback? Most of the CrApplebee's Restaurants around town have been struggling.
I don't know why Applebee's gets bashed so much. I've enjoyed every meal i've had there.

Applebee's isn't Hyde Park, but when I'm on the road and I want a decent burger or a salad....Applebees rocks.

Funny you say that. Because the majority of the time I have been there is when I'm on the road for work also. The food is very consistent and when by yourself you don't feel out of place as much sitting at the bar to eat.. It's easy on the wallet. I save the cash I get per diem for traveling and then go to other establishments. ;) .... LOL
Applebee's is me and my fiance's place to go when we are too lazy to cook something. go there, grab something to go and enjoy it at home. only takes maybe 15 minutes which is no different than ordering a pizza.
Bob Knight is such an enigma. He can be warm and really funny - who'd have thunk he'd do a chair throwing joke like that? Hilarious. He can also be a complete jerk.
We have a new Applebee's close to us and it's very nice and there are a TON of TVs there. Not sure why people hate on them. It's just Chili's with another name.
Yes, I agree with your comparison. And Chili's is one of my kids favorite place to eat. They are addicted to the Crispy Honey-Chipolte Chicken Crispers. (Double negative intended as shown on menu that way).
