With Q's game winning shot last night and AC's game winner before the refs had to stop and check the clock for over a minute to verify the clock operator had indeed stopped the clock at the correct time. This stop basically gives the opposing team a free time out whether they had one or not. The difference between the two games is is Iowa State had a time-out left while Sean Miller's crew had used all of theirs up. Thus by stopping to check the clock Arizona recieved what Chris Weber wishes he could have got.
Why stop to check the clock unless there is indeed a stoppage of play? Is there a need for a rule change?
