Today's Atlantic 10 quarterfinal game between UNC-Charlotte and Richmond was pretty much over with 4.7 seconds left. And then this happened. Without a doubt, the strangest ending to a college basketball game that I've ever seen.

And all of this happened after 4 of Charlotte's players had fouled out.

WOW
this was a fun one to watch
i mean...he lost his cool...i think all of them were correct calls.
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
The guy on the last foul was not in the act of shooting. He threw it up from half court after the foul. No way he intended to shoot from there while his team had the lead with 4 seconds left. Everyone who has ever watched basketball knows and understands that. When the refs awarded the guy 3 free throws in that situation that's why he blew up. That is what everyone is missing because the broadcasters never realized it and the camera didn't show what the coach saw when the ref was signalling a shooting foul for 3 shots. That's why there were an odd number of free throws and that's what everyone is missing. Sure he lost his cool and shouldn't have, but when the ref has the nerve to make that call...
Bingo. I figured that's why he went ballistic. When I first watched the video, I didn't pick up on the fact that he shot 7 FTs after the coach's ejection.

I do not believe what I just saw. And you thought TSUN fell apart on Sunday against Indiana...DAMN!

final score of 68-63, with an over/under of 130.5...hmmm, wonder if those zebras had some big money riding on this bad boy
The two techs seemed to be pretty good calls.

not often that you see a team score 8 points in less than 3 seconds
So weird...
All of the NBC Sports websites are blocked here at my work. It says that's it's an emergency block and that it's temporary and will be unblocked when the problem is resolved
A pretty ugly finish, but fascinating to watch nonetheless. It was like a slo-mo buzzer beater.
Ok I just watched it..
Crazy....
Let the kids play though... The first one I can see the technical. But why give the foul on the 3 pointer following the technical? And why give the coach a technical??\
Yes, in the middle of the game or in a game at the beginning of the year you should call that... But the officials should know the situation and let it play out.
The refs shouldn't decide the game.
The kid from Richmond who shoved the kid from Charlotte and got the T - that has to go down as one of the dumbest basketball plays I have ever seen. Instead of a 2 point lead, with your opponent having a free throw that they have to intentionally miss and rebound to have a chance, your opponent now has 3 free throws upcoming and then possession - golden opportunity for them to win. Stupid.
Edit: I will say calling the shooting foul after that though is a silly call. It's an obvious attempt to draw the shooting foul - you would never shoot a near half court shot late in the 4th quarter with the lead. Coach still has to keep his cool, though. I believe they missed one of those first 3 free throws, so Charlotte may still have had a chance.
