I saw the same thing somewhere else the other day. I didn't realize it was s graphic until someone fell on it. I cringed as he went down. Then my common sense pulled me back together.

Overseas soccer clubs have been doing this for years. I remember first noticing it when I was a Freshman on North Campus (2005). When it's done correctly, it's really nice. It's only a TV thing though, they look quite goofy in person.

Found an example from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan, where Inter and AC Milan play.The signage is slanted by the goal to create that forced perspective when viewed on TV.
