Watching the MSU vs Wisconsin game on ESecPN and they brought up end of the year awards and had Bo "whiny" Ryan as their coach of the year.......my question is what does Thad Matta have to do to win coach of the year....it seems like every year he gets looked over for the award and yet even after losing Sullinger and the buckeyes still being in the race for regular season title he gets looked over again......it baffles me that he hasn't won the award more with the success Ohio State has been having during his tenure......Thoughts?
I was more sad that they projected Oladipo to win Defensive Player of the Year and not Craft. Admittedly I haven't followed Oladipo much, but Craft has been a game changer in big games. He's shut down Burke - possible player of the year - multiple times.
Thoughts? Is Oladipo that good on D?
Thought this was a very good point as well......along with the fact of tressel not winning in 02' and urbz not winning after bringing the team back from the woeful 11' sesaon.....
If Crean wins it, it will be a joke. IU was pre-season #1. When OSU is projected to be a top team nationally and win the big ten...and then they do...no one pays attention to Matta. It's kind of open in my eyes, with those top 5 teams so close. Could have been Groce since they started out of nowhere, but they fell off.
Exactly my point.......I went back and saw a ton of articles that had Wisconsin ending 5th in the B1G which is exactly where they will end up and yet everyone at espn has been writing articles on bo ryan for COY.....personally the predicament Thad Matta was in at the start of the year and then at times throughout the year, he deserves the COY award hands down......the only coach that I personally think would even be in consideration is either Izzo or Groce
