So who are the 2 most likley to finish up the class?
i really like the Russell kid who reminds me alot of McLemore from Kansas but heard he might be hard to pull from UofL?
What about the 2015 what Out of state kids besides mitchell do we have a great shot with?

For 2014 I think we do get Lyle and okafor. I have no clue for 2015
Getting Okafor would be incredible. He would almost be like getting Greg Oden again, although Oden was probably thought of a little more than Okafor but not by much.
Okafor, Lyle, Bates-Diop, and Tate would be a top 3 class easily.
I think Okafor is a longshot.... but let's hope we can pull off the upset and get him or Tyus Jones!!!
Lyle is suppose to be a pg so I doubt we get him and jones with Scott as a senior
Oh I thought Lyle was a SG. My B.
If we get Okafor we'd get Tyus Jones. Those two have decided they want to play together and OSU is in the running for both. If we get Jones there's a chance we lose Lyle. I think Jones is more of a traditional point and Lyle seems to be more of a combo guard that can play the 2. They could definitely coexist. I'm not sure how many schollies we have available to give out is the only thing.
I've heard the stock of talent in Columbus for 2015 is as good as its ever been and there will be several nationally recognized and recruited prospects just out of the city of Columbus alone.
2015 and 2016 are thought to be very, very strong years for Ohio basketball recruiting, from everything I've read. Guys like Carlton Bragg, Luke Kennard, and Esa Ahmad in 2015, and V.J. King, Seth Towns, and Willie Jackson in 2016. All are believed to be national-type recruits. There are many other highly-thought of recruits from Ohio that I am not mentioning, as well.
"What we do in life echoes in eternity"
Can't wait to see these guys rise through the central Ohio bball ranks. I used to follow Ohio HS bball but haven't paid nearly as much attention since Sully graduated from Northland.
Okafor and Jones are thought to be a packaged deal. I'm hearing/reading Duke has the best shot right now to land them as well as KU
Matta needs to step up to meyer when it comes to level of commits
Not everyone can be Urban Meyer that's tough to say...Thad has done a great job recruiting and I really think people need to realize where OSU hoops was before he got to Columbus...even with a Final Four in '99, not on a national stage. Now they are every year and all credit goes to Thad IMO.
Not to mention that the last couple years he hasn't had a lot of scholarships to give out
The lack of appreciation many fans have for Matta truly amazes me at times. I guess all those 20 win seasons, Final Fours, NC games and B1G titles leave a lot of room for criticism.
Yeah how dare those fans look for continued success going forward!
whoever else joins 2014 is just the cherry on top. Bates-Diop is going to be unreal. Tate would be just another great wing player to join in with what will be the senior class of Ross, Scott, Amir and Thompson. I really see the starting lineup in 2014 as Scott, Kam Williams, Thompson, Bates-Diop, Amir. Hopefully Amir will have it figured out more than he is now and I don't see any scoring issues with this group. Especially with Ross coming off the bench still (or if Kam doesn't take over as a soph, Thompson and Ross will start). Great shooting on the bench too with Della-Valle, Marc Loving and the big freshman, Bell who I see adding some weight and becoming a future stud center.
That right there is a quality team. Anything more, like Okafor and Jones, would be crazy good. A future lineup with Bell and Okafor, 2 6'10'' big men for once! on the court together!
I really like some of these players and I am not even going to think about 2015 yet.
Tate goes to my cross town rival so I get to see him play quite a bit. i think he might be the next David Lighty for us. He isn't that tall, but he plays so much bigger and is athletic
yeah, I didn't mean to underplay Tate at all. I meant to say it like "Ho-Hum, another great wing player in the long line of wings that Thad gets". Basically, another great wing in the making.
I think as poor as 2012 and 2013 are, 2014 will easily make up for it. Great recruiting class.
I read on espn that Tate's father is 6'10, so there might be a chance he could grow some more. Just think if he got closer to 6'7-6'8, he could be a major talent with his motor.
he has been around 6'5" for a few years now, but you never know
I think what Matta gets a bad rep for his last 2 classes isn't that they were small, but all the top targets went elsewhere
Does Urban have any time to recruit a little basketball too?
