I have a friend that works for NC State's student newspaper, and while he was at the NC State-Duke game, he noticed that while Tyler Lewis, NC State's back-up point guard, was taking free throws, the Duke student section chanted at him "How's your grandma?" The kicker is that Lewis's grandmother had passed away recently. While I understand that student sections are meant to be rowdy and at times crass, chanting at a kid about his recently deceased grandmother is a bit much.

Yes, I actually taught Tyler when he was in Middle school and helped coach him and his brother Colby. The Lewis family is not happy, but they aren't griping either. I just couldn't believe they did that. I know its a tough world, but geesh. Tyler is a great person and a humble kid. He comes back to our school and just spends time talking with our young players sometimes. Great family.

Duke fans insist that it was their "Past your bedtime" chant, but I can't make it out. Duke denies it happening.
Stay classy Duke
Geez, that's rough. Shame on the Duke fans. They're usually so classy.
