I know that Minnesota was a team that was on fire at the beginning of the year.
However, lately they looked dead in the water.
Man, winning on the road in the B1G isn't EZ.

Minnesota had more points tonight in the second half than in their entire game against us just a week ago. That's home court for you, though it didn't seem to do us a whole lot of good against the Hoosiers.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
F**K YES. I'm so damn happy. Take that Clappy the Clown!
That court rush was flawless too!
Ohio State's band SLAUGHTERED Michigan's band. If this were a football game, it would have been Florida State vs. Savannah State. - SB Nation following OSU vs. UM 2012
I watched a few minutes at the start of the second half and it looked like Indiana was going to pull away, so I started flipping channels. I was shocked to flip back and see that the gophers were leading with under 2 minutes to play. Great finish and it proves it....It's tough to win in the Big Ten.
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
I think another thing was the Gophers needed this win VERY BAD! If they were on the bubble before they are no more.
Indiana didn't really need this win. Sure, you would like to continue winning. However, you're still in control of your own destiny. Definitely, didn't bring their A game tonight.
this season is destroying my brain
OSU>Minnesota>IU....reading too much into for the game at Bloomington?
Looks like 1st place tie is still a remote possibility. Win out. Get IU to lose to scUM. Wisconsin to lose to Sparty. Sparty to lose scUM and scUm to lose to Purdue. or something like that. A bunch of teams tie at 13-5. Won't happen, I know, but I can dream.
I don't know why, but I really enjoy watching Crean lose. Was able to watch the entire second half, and it was really fun to watch. Some of the theatrics by the IU players was just hilarious. Don't know how many of you saw it, but the one IU player tried to feign a severe injury, hit the deck like he could not continue. After the refs looked at the video and said no foul, he just popped right back up and into the game. Crean is a piece of work....
In the timeout Crean actually told his players to be ready for elbows and exaggerate the call.
That was my take on it too. When they fouled the Minn player, the IU player lowered his entire body so his head would be at elbow level. His teammate was standing tall on the other side of the Minn player forcing him to turn. Incidental contact was made with the stooped IU player, and he flopped on the floor like a fish out of water. It was a deliberate setup to try to draw the foul. Just tells you what kind of coach Crean is. Someone said in an earlier post that he is turning the IU program around and probably should be considered one of the top coaches. So long as he teaches this sh*t I don't even want to see his name in the same paragraph with the truly great coaches who are active today.
So you're telling me there's a chance! Michigan and Indiana now control their own destiny. If OSU beats IU on the road, it could potentially lead to an outright title for Michigan...Still rooting for OSU? I certainly will be.
Worst part is that Gonzaga will likely be #1 unless BYU knocks them off. This is such a joke:

Losses at home to Illinois and @Butler; Best wins home vs KState and @Ok St. That schedule is a joke. They shouldn't be in the top 5, IMO.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

Pomeroy does have Gonzaga 4th.
Ohio State played the Zags last year in the 2R of the NCAA tournament. They gave the Buckeyes some problems - they were a skilled, fundamentally-sound team, with multiple weapons on offense.
I haven't seen them play this year, but they appear to have not missed a beat after 7'0 Sacre left. They replaced him with another 7'0er, Kelly Olynyk, who is a long-haired Canadian who redshirted last year while working on his post game (in h.s., he was a 6'2 point guard or something).
Well, Olynyk is leading the Zags in scoring (17.7 pts/ game).
I don't see them being worthy of a #1 seed in the NCAA tourney, but I wouldn't sleep on them, either. I'll make a friendly wager right now that the Zags outlast Michigan in the tournament.
So much for that. XD
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
And Michigan just knocked out by Penn state, this conference is crazy tough!!
tOSU better bring their A game tomorrow night in Evanston. You cannot sleep on any team in B1G this year.
Man, this thread just got prophetic tonight at University Park, Pa.
Sure hope it doesn't continue tomorrow night in Evanston......
