Yes we've had a lot of posts/discussion about The Q, but I'm still frustrated about how slow they've brought him along. Matta is great but it seems like it takes him a long time to trust players like Q and Trey McDonald. When most coaches, and especially Izzo get guys like them (high school All-Americans) he gets them a lot of time early in their careers and gets them up to speed a lot quicker. Next year Thomas will be gone and these guys will be juniors next year before they see big minutes routinely. They could have been much more of a help this year. Hopefully Q still will be but nobody will be surprised if he plays well tonight, then gets only 5-10 minutes next game.

I've been saying that all year. If he would have just played him during the nonconference time and just lived with the mistakes, Q would be rolling right now. Same goes with Trey. Matta is a great recruiter but his coaching drives me crazy.
