kid who should grow a couple more inches and seems to have a little more offensive game than what we have in the paint now.....good planning for down the road
+1 Thanks for the news! Here's another article with his highlight videl if anyone wants to read some more on Bell:
Please try to refrain from embedding sites, we get comments from sites when people copy and paste a whole article, embedding a site is no different.
Ok, I won't do that anymore. I'm really surprised and rather taken back that they complain on "embedding" their site. I actually used to do this and even get request from other companies (and I'm talking about some huge multi-million/billion [yes with a 'B'] dollar technology companies) to do this because it gets their website hits even if people don't click on their site. It's really the same concept as why YouTube and Twitter don't mind you, if not encourage, you to embed their videos and tweets. They get views/hits even though people aren't directly visiting their site. If you do it for a whole site, that site, along with the site it's being "embedded" on, both get hits. It can really help the other sites boost their Alexa ranking and Googlebots and spiders read these and it can really help increase your placement in Google searches(other searchbots/spiders may not read them as well as Googles do). It's a very beneficial thing for both sites when you do this. There are whole companies based on increasing traffic for sites using this very method. If there are companies that are complaining about it; they may want to educate the people within their company telling you not to do this. Those people may want to learn about SEO and search engine analytics before telling you not to do that. It really would help that company as well as 11W. Although I guess not too many people have done that type of SEO and maintenance for over 30 sites at once before as I've had to do in the past. Sorry I'll stop pontificating as well as "embedding" sites; I'm just still dumbfounded on why people wouldn't want to increase their traffic, hits and ultimately their revenue. It hurts 11W a lot too not being able to do this! But hey, this is the Basketball forum and not the Site Stuff orAnything Else forum. I think Bell looks like a good one!
Likely to move up in the rankings. I think more film and attention due to his committment will push him up lists. Like his athleticism reminds me of Othello Hunter.
It's very rare to find an under the radar 6'10 domestically born player, especially in this day and age.
i just hope he isnt as weak as amir, definitely looks more explosive
He's actally pretty strong. Withey said he had a lot of problems with Amir's strenghth. But that said his hands are awful and he can sink into some serious timidity around the basket sometimes.
I agree. It is not that Amir is weak it is that he plays weak. Personally, I think he has gotten better about being aggressive but his hands are the bigger problem. He struggles with entry passes and is too easy to strip. (Mullens was like that at Ohio State as well).
Amir is a solid center. He was the only guy to push around Cody Zeller when he was actually able to play! Amir is getting there, just be patient. The difference between where he was at last year at this time to now is definitely different. I will say though that he doesn't get both hands on the ball when he goes up for a rebound. I have heard though that it is less due to technique and skill and more to do with poor energy. Amir needs to get more energy and we have seen what happens when he does.
the big issue is the lack of feeding the post! If it was not getting the ball to Amir, I would understand why, but they don't give the ball to Thomas in the post as much as they should. Great things happen when the post gets the ball early on.
So I won't put all of the lack of a post pressence solely on Amir.
Great pick up. I would love to get another big man to finish out the 2013 class. You can never have enough 6'10 guys on the bench.
I like this commentment. He is just starting to get noticed and there is a good chance he'll start climbing up the rankings soon. Welcome Dave!
