If I were to tell you Aaron Craft would score 150% more points than DT against Michigan State, would you have believed me 3 hours ago? Incredible game for AC!

50% more, but yeah I probably wouldn't have believed you. OSU seemed top find themselves offensively today. Hoping they can continue to gel and improve.

You're right, guess I meant it in the way of 150% better than what Thomas scores.
I always liked purple
With the way hot teachers are banging 7th and 8th graders these days, I'm starting to think I really missed out on a proper coming of age story.
That made me remember that Bengals cheerleader that was cheating on her husband with that HS student... Jessica I think was her first name, can't remember the rest
yup. Great game by Craft. He does his best work when he's efficient with the ball. He gets into trouble when he overdribbles, which he didn't do too much today. Good spacing, and he was taking MSU guys straight to the rack.
Wish Ravenel and even McDonald would get more minutes than Williams. I like McDonald's energy. Maybe he would have been able to slow down Payne a little. Payne...another Ohio boy that got a way.
Overall, good team win. We need to put more of these together on the road. GO BUCKS!!
They were best when Lenzelle was on the bench. I've been calling for that to happen all year.
So upsetting reading that, but you can't hate on this truth.
I agree but Shannon Scott is not doing enough offensive.
Play Lenzelle 18, Scott 14, and ADV 8 at that two guard slot. Get Craft a 6 min breather and you have Scott w 20.
I think the key is getting the ball into the paint early in the offense, whether it is feeding Tank in the post or Craft/Scott dribble driving. If we have those possessions where craft, lenzelle, thompson just throw it around the wings, the possessions are rarely productive.
Those high screens really helped us out and them believing Craft would pass it to the wings got him the space he needed to take it to the board. Was exciting watching MSU's misfortune tonight!
Craft was "special" today against MSU and when he scores 21 and plays defense like that we are really tuff to beat. Really BIG win and proud to be a Buckeye fan!
That was a man's game today. I wish Q would be our second scorer, averaging about 15 a game. But, it just didn't materialize. Thanks to Craft we got a huge win tonight.
Its good to be the king
One of the main differences today was the fact he simply finished when at rim. Many times this year he has had the same looks but couldn't finish. A great game by him by all means however I certainly wouldn't count on this production going forward. I would love to be wrong and maybe this jumps starts a Conley Jr run thru March.

They pressured the ball hard and we had good movement offensively. Craft is strong enough to hold the defender off and just quick and smart enough to get those scoop shots up.
I'd like to see his shot chart. I'm almost positive all his points came from the line or on layups. Still, took what Sparty gave him.
He came up big...
I'm not sure why he doesn't drive to the basket more often like he did last night? He's quick and small and can get around most people guarding him. Worst case scenario is he hits a dead and and passes to an open shooter.
Teams have normally been collapsing the paint against OSU because of their overall poor outside shooting. It seemed like the high ball screen (and spacing of the shooters on the outside) was much more effective against MSU in spacing the floor. It also helped that Smith, Ross, Thompson, and Thomas all made three pointers yesterday. THAT will be the difference as the season progresses from this point. If those guys can make open shots (which they did not in the 1st half), it opens up everything else for Craft, and even Scott, to penetrate and make something happen.
Too often, this team reverts to 4 or 5 passes around the perimeter, and then a contested outside shot. When they do that for several possessions consecutively, they bog down on offense and look very pedestrian as a team. But, when they attack the basket and cause the defense to adjust, good things tend to happen. Against Minnesota and now MSU, they've seemed to embrace this much more. Hopefully it continues because it suddenly makes them dangerous and much more efficient offensively.

Against MSU, OSU's best matchup is at the guard position. MSU definitely has the advantage in the post, but I like the matchup for OSU with the guards. Harris is the best offensive player MSU has at the guard position, but he tends to disappear as Buford would do at times. It was good to see Craft take advantage of the edge that he had against Appling.
The other thing Craft did yesterday is shutting down Harris in the 2nd half. Harris was the reason MSU played so well in the 1st half. His scoring and creating for others was very good. After his three on the first possession of the 2nd half, I don't think he did anything other than the and-one in transition. The reason? Scott came in to guard Appling, and Craft moved over to Harris.
