Last nights game was weird in the fact that Wisconsin never shot a free throw which is very unusual for a B1G10 game as well for a game officiated by Higgins and O'Neill. However being in attendance at the game it was very evenly officiated and suprisingly a really clean game. I felt at least once on the defensive end that we fouled a person in the act of shooting but the were more no call type situations. The moving screen calls against us caught me off guard a bit as wisky is the team that screens and screens the screener and screens the screener that screened the screener but overall I was very impressed with how the game was officiated. Thoughts?

I thought 2/3 officials did a fine job. Wisconsin shot a ton of 3 pointers, and never really attacked the basket. There were a few calls that went to each team that were shakey, but officiating is tough. The third official (the most balding of the three) was awful. He called three offensive fouls (the two illegal screens and a Craft push off) on tOSU in the first 10 minutes. He stopped the game to push Thompson back from the sideline, and he called the goaltend. I don't know the name of the guy, but the OSU coaches were on him all game, and may have pissed him off.
Yep I'd say the 28 3-pt attempts by Wisky was the main reason they didn't have a FT attempt. I noticed the same guy on TV make those calls but all in all I thought the game was called good. They let a lot go with the hands but they were consistent about it and that is all you can hope for with referees.
The only player who attacked OSU from Wisky was Evans, he was the only guy wanting the ball to do something. The rest just hung around the perimeter.
For their size Wisky is softer inside than any team in the big ten. Wisky had what 4 guys 6'9 or taller? They had no inside presence other than the offensive rebounding but that was because they were all long rebounds from missed three pointers and their players were out far enough to see where the ball was going off the rim while OSU guys were too far under boxing out the air since no Wisky player was down there.
I agree. Although, they only really play one guy over 6'9. Berggen is 6'10, Brusewitz is only 6'6, Evans is 6'6, and Decker is 6'7. The back up center is 6'10 as well, but he really doesn't do anything offensively. I was really surprised by this as well, as both Evans and Brusewitz play bigger than they are.
With the small amount of fouls called and lack of free throws for Wisconsin the game really went faster than usual.
