Given that Dan Skipper is 6-10, 300lbs, what are the chances of him walking on to the basketball team? I feel like even if he's never played a day of hoops in his life, he could be a big improvement over Amir and Trey next year just with rebounds and physicality. Being a guy in the football trenches, I doubt he will wilt from some of the post thugs that MSU employs like our current dudes do. That said it's probably likely that he's played at least some basketball in his life.

Let him focus on football... Going to need him to step up after next year when we lose 4 starting OL.
Ah but which team could he be the biggest difference maker next season...
Well, he wouldn't be a walk on, would he? Because his tuition would be payed for by his football scholarship.

Yeah whatever the terminology is for secondary varsity sports guys. Like Devin Smith with track.
According to this article he never really enjoyed basketball, and last year was the only year he played in high school.
So he's still a big man upgrade then. Good. Maybe we can entice him to play with the goodies we are claimed with providing recruits in unsourced SI investigative articles...
Ohio State will need someone to replace Thomas's scoring next year.
Uhh...they could use one now too.

I think we discovered what your basketball IQ is. Seriously a football tackle with very little experience will walk right in and supplant McDonald and Williams. What world are you living in?

Probably as unrealistic as a PF walking into the NFL and becoming a Hall of Fame TE...
