Nobody is worse than Matt Millen. Matt Millen is terrible at every job he has, yet continues to get work.
Dakich is the CBB equivalent of Millen. There are those that love his commentary and insight, to which I say, WHY?? He doesn't provide anything good if the team he's clearly backing starts to struggle, in fact, he just starts getting nasty and nit-picking (see Craft, Aaron).
In last year's game at IU, he may as well have been singing the IU fight song and joining the crowd's chants. I would have at least respected his honesty. It was getting that bad Tuesday night, too.
He is driving me crazy.. My wife is watching real housewives in the other room and I'm muting to listen to that.

Mike Terico said at one point in the second half "guys, can we turn his microphone off?". It didn't seem to me that he was joking or that it was a bad idea.

Why is it even in basketball everyone hates Ohio State?
Often announcer will seem or actually be more excited for a)the team from behind making a comeback or b) the home team doing well/going on a run. a) makes for interesting TV and b) is because the crowd gets amped and it rubs off on all in attendence, peer pressure, mob mentality thing. I try not to get too upset about it if you take those things into account.

He's got a radio show in Indy on 1070am. Trust me, it's even worse than his broadcast last night.

He's done at least 3 of Michigan's games this year and says the exact same (annoying) things each and every time.

Dan Dakich is a former Indiana player and assistant, & former head coach @ Bowling Green State too. But the guy is insufferable as a broadcaster. He is such an annoying know-it-all guy that heaps false praise on players and coaches while basically adding nothing to the broadcast. When the guy is calling a game I've been known to watch with the sound muted.
I'm trying to confirm the math with the boys down in the lab, but it seems that Dan Dakich is greater than or equal to Beth Mowins.

To be fair, Beth Mowins cannot help that her voice tone grates on some ears. If you gave her a nicer sounding voice (and/or audiences became more accustomed to female voices doing play-by-play), she might score on 6 or 7 out of 10 in terms of pure content, delivery, flow, etc.

i was surprised he wasnt wearing purdue gear by halftime...guy couldnt stop saying everything prudue did was great and osu smells...might be worse than galloway and that chick for football

The only thing that really kind of bothers me about him is his insistance on proclaiming that he knows EVERYONE!!
he goes off on all these side stories about how "I was talking to so and so at some function" where the intent is not really to point out that he gleaned any good information but just that he was able to shoot the sh** with some coach. Like he's dying to still be included in the inner coaching circle and he's a little bitter that he's not coaching right now. That's what I take from it every time he starts with one of those stories.
