Did anyone else hear about the kid from Division III Grinnell tonight? He scored 138 points...he attempted 71 threes and made 27 of them...he went 52 of 108 from the floor...I heard this and had to think it was b.s until I found the article...his name is Jack Taylor and he just made Wilt Chamberlin blush. I wish I could find a video to put in here but I can't...there has to be one somewhere. What do you think about that haha oh yeah..his team won: 179-104.

I guess he had the hot hand.
I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.
JACK TATUM
they just had him on espn interview. he took most all the shots, his teammates fed him the ball all night long. none of his teammates took more than 6 shots themselves. on one hand , pretty awesome night for this kid, but then again, hey he took most all the shots. however what amazes me is the total score of the game. 283 points? division 3. obviously there was little defense played. but the kid did get on espn though. dick vitale was talking about it during the indiana georgetown game.
They showed some highlights. I figured there'd be no defense, but that wasn't always the case. Plenty of those shots he made were contested. Unreal.
Class of 2010.
I don't think that I have attempted 71 3's in my life... Props to this guy, though
Tom Crean listens to Nickelback...
The fact that he got off 108 shots in 1 game is unreal itself, roughly 2.5 shots a min! Carmelo Anthony is incredibly jealous of this offense.
I dont always shoot 100 shots, but when I do --- I score 138 points.
Keep shooting, my friends.
hahah^^
If you want to read a take on this "record" that I very much agree with, check this out from Deadspin. Seems this D III team is all about trying to set records against lesser competiton. It's a freakin' joke if you ask me.
http://deadspin.com/5962514/d+iii-players-138-point+game-is-a-sham-record-and-shouldnt-be-celebrated-by-anyone
I have been on a team that has won by 75 before and I've been on a team that has lost by 70, but I've never been on a team that scored 104 points and lost by 75. Good lord.
i just wanted to post this.
Tenn you know what is pathetic when you read that article? The team wasn't even NAIA, they were in the NCCAA and they were division 2 in that? Their college is smaller than my single A divsion high school team was in Kentucky. Quite literally, many high school teams were better than Grinnel's opponent. That pretty much is a bullshit record.
