Hey. Just wondering if anybody on here has any G.O. news? I love this guy & always have had a soft spot for him since he got drafted, with the injury luck he's had. I really think he can still be great. I hope he stays healthy - he can do it!
But, just wondering if he's still trying to make a comeback? I thought I heard last Spring he was going back to college to take classes, and then something about maybe giving it a go with the Indiana Pacers, maybe?
Also wondering if anybody knows anything on former Buckeye great Michael Redd? Another one of my favorite all-time players. He's always had that sweet left-handed jumper. I saw he was playing with Phoenix last year on a 1-year contract, and he had some great games...don't think he's back with them this year...can't seem to find any news about him.
Thanks

I love Greg Oden & Michael Redd, too ... I'd love to see them both come back, especially Oden

In May, Oden announced that he wanted to sit out this season to further rehab his injuries.
As for Redd, I believe I heard that he turned down a training camp offer by the Timberwolves and there were rumors that he would join Memphis for training camp. I haven't heard anything in the last few months though.
thanks
My hope is that Oden makes a full recovery, lives up to his potential, joins the Cavs, and helps them win it all.
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Oden is attempting a recovery and spent NBA opening night in house at the Schottenstein Center watching Aaron Craft give #11 fits.
A superficial (possibly unnecessary) addition: as of a few months ago he has started to grow dreads. Saw him a few months back at the Ugly Tuna on campus and he was in the early stages of dreadlocks. No pics but it did happen.
Love Oden but he's never coming back in any sort of meaningful role if at all... 1 micro fracture surgery has crappy odds for a meaningful return and he's had 3. Imagine Nate Williams going thru 2 more and coming back.

Last I read about a week ago was that Miami Heat were contemplating bringing him in to be at the end of the bench and see what happens. It was an ESPN rumor. I didn't think anything of it but imagine if Oden came back as what we all thought he would have been and played on the Heat! HELLO!!
I think Redd might be done. He just can't stay healthy enough.
On that note, I have Byron Mullens on my fantasy team. I picked him up after the draft because my center was Channig Frye after the autodraft, league changed drafting night and I wasn't available. I think Mullens is highly underrated and on the bobcats should get a double double and he is silky smooth with his post play. I really think if he would have stuck around with Turner, OSU would have been an easy final four team.
Rumor is that Oden has been working out at the Shot, mostly just shooting around and doing some very light work on the treadmill around the time the team practices. I hear he lost some weight, but is still struggling with his mobility. His goal is to try and make it back in the league next year. @DJROSS he doesn't have dreds anymore. He returned to the old hair style from college.
