I was listening to espn radio this morning and they announced shabazz muhamid isruled ineligible for violating amateurism rules. I dont know what he did but i assime he took something if anyone can find out more about i would appreciate. It cause i am in class atm.
He has been declared ineligible for their first game and the NCAA has given no indication of a timetable when he might be reinstated. He supposedly took unofficial visits to Duke and UNC and those trips were funded by a "friend" who happened to be the brother of his high school coach. Apparently you can receive such benefits if the person giving you the money and etc. is a "pre-existing" family member, but in this case the NCAA has determined that this was not the case. I wonder if the NCAA would've even investigated this had he not been one of the top prospects in the country cause I could see this happening quite a bit.
