Because he's a 19 year old trying to figure out where he will most enjoy his time and get the best preparation for a career in the NBA.
I think the longer he waits, the better it is for OSU, because his most recent visit was to Duke -- the luster may be starting to wear off a little & his heart may be in Cbus.

He hasn't decided because he doesn't have to. Let him take his time. This is a pretty big decision and a very difficult one. Let's not get frustrated with him because he's not picking fast enough for our sake.
I know that this is a big decision and he has every right to take his time, but it is a little awkward that he set a decision date and we still haven't heard ANYTHING about him.
I believe he is waiting to hear from Duke's admissions department and if he gets I and his credits transfer, he'll be a Blue Devil. OSU is plan B. Just speculation on my part.

Well, I would've loved to have Hood at OSU, but I can't say I blame a kid for choosing to play at Duke and for Coach K.
I wish he was eligible to play this year so we could have shown him what the correct decision should have been when we visit Duke on November 28th.
^^ Agreed. Wish the best of luck to this guy, but I hope we kick Duke's #$@ this year while he watches the game and wishes he had chosen OSU.
That'd be pretty funny if he requests another transfer if we beat Duke. Can you even do that?
He was more of a luxury anyway. We have Smith Jr., Thompson, Ross, and Loving possibly as the wings in 2013 already.
