Earlier today by Mirror Lake I saw Amedeo Della Valle walking by with assistant coach Boals. I was just wondering does anybody have any news on how his visit went today?

Is he someone who can come and in help out with outside shooting right away? Or is he going to take a few years like my friend Jon 3-bler?
From watching different films on Della Valle , he should help right away with his perimeter shooting.
He can do other things offensively. He sees the court and looks to be a very good passer to teammates. He has more dribble ability than people give him credit for. He uses screens very well to get free and make good decisions with the ball. Plays with a high IQ.
Della Valle is a rotation player off the bench. As long as he accepts that role, he could be a good fit.
Della Valle would be the 10th player on schollie if he accepts. Then Matta would shut it down for next year. Ravenal is the only senior but DeShaun Thomas will leave early to the NBA so back down to 8 schollie players. With Marc Loving already committed brings 2013 to 9 players on schollie. Max is 13. What about Rodney Hood and Anthony Gill as transfers who would have to sit out a year. If both of those players select Ohio State, then it's up to 11 players on schollie and Matta probably shuts it down and concentrates on 2014. Craft and Lenzelle Smith graduate in 2014 so its back down to 9 players on schollie.
It's a very attractive situation numbers wise for players considering Ohio State.
Don't know if anyone saw it or not, but Della Valle said on twitter he would be making his college choice tomorrow (Saturday).
He said he would be choosing between OSU, Texas A&M, & Arizona. On his twitter page he has listed that he is in a relationship with so and so and gives her twitter link. If you click on the link, her page did say that she is "soon to be in College Station" although that message has been since removed. If we're connecting the dots, I think that means he's going to be headed to A&M if he's following her there. Or it could be to throw people off. Am I reading too much into this? Probably, but maybe not. Do I have a life, no, I don't.

I think he's going to be headed to OSU.

I saw that tweet as well, Third Leg, but I do think its interesting that she had the message about soon to be in College Station and now it has been removed. The way they were tweeting back and forth though, it certainly seemed like they would find it really hard to be apart. We'll see.
FWIW, Jeff Rapp is convinced Valle will be a Buckeye.

This is good news. Great to add a shooter to the team and hopefully a guy who can contribute right away.
@FutureBuckeye: Parker is making his official decision on Monday, if it's not delayed... again... Most people think it's between Georgia, UCLA, and OSU, with Georgia lean. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't end up with us.
