Sullinger said in a post game press conference about Amir "he has always had talent but has to play behind me and Evan, look for him to be good next year." this might Meen nothing but I'm just throwing this out there.
Well, Sullinger is 99% gone. Regardless, the plan would to move Amir into the starting lineup and put Sully at the 4 where he belongs. Then we'd also have Thomas at the 3 where he belongs.
That would be a sick lineup with craft and smith jr, who is also coming on strong. I just want to know where shannon scott is ever going to play as long as craft is still here.
Alex:"I just want to know where shannon scott is ever going to play as long as craft is still here."
He's going to get minutes in relief for Craft. He would also pick up more minutes if he could find his shot. He's a good on-ball defender (especially for a freshman) and has excellent ball handling skills. Get a jump shot and learn to finish and he will get 12-15 minutes a game next year.
BUILTFORTHENUTHOUSE:"NOBODY would rebound over us!"
With an Amir, Sully, Thomas frontcourt? You got that right!
I picked up on that same comment lastnight after the Syracuse game also. Sully is gone and I'd imagine Thomas is right behind him. Next season could be interesting and we will get to see these younger guys get there playing time. I think Craft will be more of an offensive threat and you could see him be a player of the year type guy by his senior year. Future is bright.
Scott and Craft will get playing time together in the back court.
I don't think Deshaun Thomas belongs at the 3 in college. He is a spectacular offensive rebounder and can finish around the rim in traffic. I think he's a perfect 4. I think that Sullinger is a good 5. In the NBA you are correct about where they belong.
let's hope so OSUKID. The problem is that at this point last year, we knew what Deshaun was capable of considering he got a decent amount of PT. However, this year, we really have no idea what Ross can do.
Should be a fun year next year, but let's finish this one off with two more wins.
If you watch the first video on the main page, the interview with Sully. They make a comment about him leaving and he dosent say he is gone. He mentions all he meant was Amir will get more playing time, he even says once "WE" get into spring workouts watch out. So he may be out, but he may come back. If OSU wins it all, GONE, if not who knows. I think he should stay, and I think Thad NEEDS to play Amir at center, he is a more athletic Lauderdale, we need a shot blocker. Nothing againt Evan but he dosent block, cant finish for anything, not a real rebounder, not a solid shooter. I really dont know why besides being a junior, why he gets playing time. Amir could be the shot blocker and true center for us, so Sully can work on his REAL position PF. GO BUCKS!
Next years lineup will be something like Craft, Smith Jr., Sam Thompson, Laquinton Ross and Amir Williams, with Scott, Ravenel and Sibert if he stays getting good minutes off the bench, as long as Matta does what he has done in the past with maxing their talent, this good still be a very good team.
I am hoping we get Tony Parker, he is pretty much Sully Jr. I don't know much about him but hopefully he is a little more athletic then sully, But if we got him He would start I think at 4 and we could play Amir at the 5. Starting line-up would be Craft,Smith Jr, Ross/Sam Thompson, Parker, Williams. I honestly think Matta has to open the bench up a lot next year if Sully and thomas leave, Ross, sibert, weatherspoon, thompson, we have a lot of top talent just sitting on the bench all those guys where top players coming out of high school.

That would be a nasty lineup.

NOBODY would rebound over us!

I was thinking the same thing when he said that. He met his goal (as far as whether or not staying or going). Made a final four.
Sure would be nice to win it all. That is what Legends are all about. Redd got a trip to a Final Four. Noticed, but no Legend.
I sure hope the refs let the kids play in the Final Four and let them decide. We will need Sully for 80 minutes to win it all.
Go Bucks

I can see Laquinton Ross becoming our next Deshaun Thomas type player.

Don't give up... Don't ever give up.

Pay It Forward!
Williams needs to work on those FT's! The kid was very impressive! What a gem off the bench when it was needed.

Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens

If some of those guys don't get regular playing time I see at least 1 guy transfering next year.
