I was in Indianapolis this past weekend and I thought it was hilarious how worked up some of your fans got when they heard the term "ohio."
Of course, you guys got the final laugh and kicked our ass, but if we lose to Ohio then I would be one pissed off man on Friday night. Do not see it happening, but then again it is March.
Who is worked up? I think it's funny because I refer to to them as Michigan University and their fans do the same thing.

I love how Meatchicken fans wear the shirt with the state of Ohio that reads "worst state ever". I mean really.... how many of our great football players do you get from OHIO, Where was BO from?, Woodson? seriously Michigan fans. Michigan is a barren jobless wasteland.

The state has come on hard times and there are a lot of people here that are jobless and it is not by choice. How would you feel if your job was just taken away one day. Be thankful for what you have and pray that other people can find their jobs and start providing for their families. I do not care what state anyone is from, I definitely would not wish being jobless on anyone. (Not saying that is what you did) But if you want to take a dig at the state of Michigan, you should probably more tasteful with it.
The irony, of couse, is that the economic recession has hit both of our states pretty hard. The Rust Belt swings through both of our states. Here's hoping for recovery--in some form or another.

This is awesome. I have to give the selection committee props for this matchup. You can't tell me that they didn't know about this whole wordplay thing that has developed in this rivalry. Maybe they genuinely felt Michigan should be on the 4 line and Ohio U on the 13 line. But they could've stuck any of the 13s with Michigan, and they chose Ohio. LOL. The wordplay thing doesn't bother me - we really do represent Ohio, and with our shitty pro sports teams, may be the flagship sports team on any level in this state (I really do hope the Bengals stay good, and the Indians continue their rise to contendership). It provides us with easy comeback fodder, too.

Are Michigan University fans that sensitive and emotionally distressed that they need to come on an Ohio State fan site and defend themselves and their fragile ego on a daily basis? Maybe the Ohio State University can have Urban issue an apology to them as well since feelings are getting hurt.

Those are made for the frat students and anyone over the age of 22 who wears those probably has the dvd collection of the National Lampoon movies in his room. Other words, needs to get a life.

Ummm, the bland, last to only Army, offense that was last year put 30+ on Mattison's vaunted defense. Meyer could easy put 60 on them at that rate, actually calling real plays. You can't guarentee it won't happen.
Last year the worst-coached Ohio State offense I've ever seen put up 34 on Mattison's defense. And missed several open long bombs. I have faith that Urban's offense will be more productive than last year's.
Wow, Michigan University fans are so defensive with such low self esteem. There are books and videos that can help with that problem, even at Walmart.

It speaks volumes that, as a Michigan University fan, they have nothing better to do then to hangout on an Ohio State blog and defend their “manhood”. I did not realize that words typed on a blog that has nothing to do with them had such an adverse affect on so many Michigan University fans that it caused them to lose sleep and become so obsessed trying to convince Ohio State fans they are relevant again.
This would make a great case study: How the Rich Rod era caused Michigan University fans to have such low self esteem they need to hang out on Ohio State blogs and prove their self worth and meager existence in life.

@Rational M Man..No one at tOHIO STATE cares what scUM fans call us or vice versa, but calling Ohio State "Ohio" is disrespectful to Ohio U, who was never part of the rivalry. That's why this is a great matchup and OU are excited for the opportunity..gives scUM fans a chance to remember the distinction between "Ohio" U and tOSU. It's a no win situation for scUM...they are expected to win. If they lose, then whenever people from TSUN refer to tOSU as "Ohio," we'll ask if they're referring to the school that knocked them off in the 2012 tourney or the school that has won 7 of the last 8 matchups in football (or 9 of 11).
I hope the Ohio Bobcats teach Michigan the difference between a Buckeye and a Bobcat!
