CBS Stirs BB Pot?

Funny vibe to this story. This guy seems to be trying to create an issue and is dissing Sully big time. Deshaun shows his hand a little too. If it becomes Thomas looking for the spotlight in these games, we will quickly go home.

Guess he missed the buckets down the stretch after Gonzaga tied the game...

Did you by chance he Sully get dominated for about 3 straight possessions because he didn't pass out against Sacre?

I thought that article was great. I agree with everything he says. Sully yesterday was not the best option on offense. He sat on that low block during the zone and didn't move (not what the Buckeyes needed). He made one out of about four from down there and was lucky to get the one in.

When Craft and Thomas have the hot hand, they need to utilize it. Sticking to the same gameplan when they defense changes and the matchup is unfavorable is just stupid. Not to mention before the zone, Craft was doing whatever he wanted and Thomas was the man as usual.

People keep saying this team will go as Buford takes them, it may be true to some extent but they will only go as far as their adjustments mid-game take them. Sully, Matta, Craft, whoever, need to realize the dump it to Sully wont win you games if the opponents adjust to it.

Don't give up... Don't ever give up.

This line was out of place in the article,

"In fact, he [Thomas] might end up with better NBA chances than the slow-footed Sullinger, who doesn't exactly jump out of the gym."

Other than that I thought the aritcle was an interesting take and complimentary of everybody on the team.

Tank is a big reason we are putting points on the board. Shouldn't hate on Tank. Sully can't jump and can't bully his way to points every possession at the college level. Sully is a really good, if not great college player, but I don't see him doing well in the NBA unless he gets more consistent with his outside shot and develops a few more post moves. He isn't close to being as physical as Karl Malone, but his hands are as good. If he beefs up the muscle (long way to go) he has a chance to be slightly like Malone. Just my 2 cents. I'm just a fan and have no other insight than that.

I felt the reporter was trying to get one player to say something to cause problems within the team. He seemed to be trying to create an issue by going player to player with the question of "You contribute to the team, why does everyone says it is only Sullinger that drives the team?". Not an exact quote but felt that is what he was pushing for. Sometimes these guys try to get someone to say the "wrong" thing then build a story around it. Thomas almost bit. Stuff like that can cause problems if not handled properly.

Funny how the article writes about how the Bucks won despite Sully and the Dispatch (Bob Hunter?) wrote that they're only alive because of Sully.

Don't think first team all-american honors are handed out to slow-footed guys that teams do not depend on.

Thank you FORTMEYER.

And I really don't think lazy, slow, players who can't jump get as much attention, and double teams as Sully. (General comment)

I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.

He's great guys, but he is pretty damn slow. The only way he becomes successful in the NBA is with the development of his outside shot. He's too small to pound the paint at the 4, and too slow to guard any 3s. Don't even get me started on playing the 5.

Not to mention he is the worst defender of the Buckeyes starting 5. Don't give me that Deshaun crap, watch the last game. Deshaun played great defense.

Gotta love him in the college game, he just needs to realize when he's outsized.

Don't give up... Don't ever give up.

Isn't that what they said about Kevin Love?

And i'm just shocked that a writer is trying to start unnecessary drama. That never happens.

"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.

NCAA basketball is all about match-ups. We play teams with bigs that want to shut down Sully then Bufford and DT have to step up which is exactly what DT has done the last few games. DT is a straight up scorer and he can do it several different ways which will make him an excellent pro player btw.  We had the most well balanced scoring against Gonzaga and if we do this we will be hard to beat.
